Necro Pet and FD

So I remember in live that they nerfed pets so that they would kill themselves if you FD too long. Something about someone AFK XPing in lower guk.

I got 16 last night and noticed the pet didn't kill himself when I FD. Is there a timer? With my playstyle I afk a whole lot, how long can I be gone and come back to a pet?

From 1-24 on launch day I was a necromancer. Maybe it was a super short nerf that was changed before I even made it to 16?

Didnt know necros had charm either so who knows /shrug.

Before they got rid of fear/charm on other players on rallos zek, fearing players was the funniest thing you could ever do. Especially while they were looting corpses or trying to use a merchant.

Someone say something you dont like? FEAR

Someone look at you? FEAR

Someone talking to someone else? FEAR

Basically: See someone, fear someone. That was my motto.

No idea where this came from but I've also never heard of it.

Totally expected thread to be about how on p99, if you're FD and your pet is near, NPCs ignore it. I don't remember that at all from classic; they'd kill the pet and then reset.

Are you remembering the nerf that made FD break charm?

Before the nerf necros were farming the Ghoul Lord with charm whilst FD, for little to no risk. Can't remember when the nerf is due but you should have a couple of months at least.

Wouldn't make sense with charm though since that doesn't last long enough to really do anything. I'll see if I can find more info on it but it's possible I'm just totally remembering it wrong.
