Meditate Is Messed Up

*Today's Patch*

Today we modified the EverQuest client to implement the following
changes:

- The /book command (/book #) now accepts pages 1 through 50, and will
switch to the proper page.
- Opening your spellbook will automatically cause you to begin
meditating providing that you have the skill.
- Removed the /meditate command since it is no longer necessary.

Give us /meditate please. These patch notes prove the command existed from day 1 of Everquest, up until 4 months and 6 days into Kunark.


Further reason to do so - the spellbook in this forced UI is completely broken.
I see a black rectangle at the bottom of my spellbook that I have to click on,
but there is no indicator that I've pressed it or that I'm meditating. See below:

Post it in the bugs section i think thats where the GM/ people making the content look more often. So it might get seen there faster.

i had this bug after copying over my Blue EQ, deleting my uifiles/character ui configs and setting it up from scratch solved it

I mean, did you not stop to think that maybe it's something on your side? It works for almost everyone else. Maybe, just maybe, it's not completely broken you rude and entitled numpty, maybe your local install is bad?

I don't know how the staff are still here dealing with people like you every day.

I am guessing people are messing with their per character UI files and causing this? Default distribution definitely doesn’t have this issue.

Uhh, calm down sir. My post was mainly about /meditate, while also mentioning the problem I was experiencing. You need to not read my post in this “entitled” voice you seem to have given me. My post is completely cordial. Get the stick out of your butt?

If you don't find luck doing this, try the following nuclear route:


Delete the file EverQuest\UI_yourname_P1999Green.ini
Delete the folder EverQuest\uifiles\velious
Recopy the files from the patch 52 zip file to your EverQuest directory
Launch the game again and enjoy


I have not tested this fix.
