The Thing
The thing(s) in this order:
The thing 1950
The thing 2011
The thing
The Prince of darkness
In the mouth of madness.
Prince of Darkness is a 1987 American supernatural horror film directed, written and scored by John Carpenter. Starring Donald Pleasence, Victor Wong, Jameson Parker and Lisa Blount, the film is the second installment in what Carpenter calls his "Apocalypse Trilogy", which began with The Thing (1982) and concludes with In the Mouth of Madness (1995).[2]
(Also this is great series to watch at the start of Sunday farming till the end of sunday farming :)) (the first 3 thing movies are in chronological order in this order)

Dude, I am so glad you said that.
Because I love all horror movies, especially zombie movies, but for like 20 years I could never admit to my friends that I just didnt "get" re-animator.. I like came out about it a few years ago.
Like everyone that loves it loves it, but for some reason I just could not ever get into it.
I respect it as a masterpiece though. But man, it is Niche.

Glad to see the apocalypse trilogy mentioned; In the Mouth of Madness is fantastic.
For Halloween, I guess it depends if you're actually watching/listening to it, or if it's something on a tv at a party, where conversation and music drown it out anyways. If that is the case, evil dead 2/army of darkness/friday the 13th(s) etc.
Random suggestions (some requiring more attention span than others):
trick 'r treat
vhs
hereditary
it follows
babadook
cabin the woods
drag me to hell
tales from the crypt movies (demon knight, bordello of blood etc)

Shock Waves (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_q_9lBf_R24) - full movie
Zombie 2 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOYyF6Tklz0) - pay to play :(
Cannibal Holocaust (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPiD4e_7qQQ) - full movie
Cannibal Apocalypse (https://youtu.be/VSGqJOzqMow) - trailer only :(
Return of The Living Dead (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hdh3npiRip4&list=PLZbXA4lyCtqqGheWyTKVzymz3KLe1rEZ2) - clips
Return of The Living Dead 2 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lpBYHa7VDRk) - clips
Zombie 3 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ptObcG0Qc8) - trailer
The Beyond (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ef0oH3ZizfI) Bit more spiritual, also just a trailer.
Zedder (https://youtu.be/Y09lLuLqGgU) Ok if you're this far down the list you can watch these really uh... not so great ones :o
Dammit, I saw this insane zombie movie at the Alamo Drafthouse a while ago, it was made by an American director that like, couldn't get his film funded, so they filmed it in Mexico, so its this like, incredibly weird 80s zombie movie that Id love to put on this list but just cant for the life of me remember the name of.

Still good lmao
Im such a huge fan of zombie/end of the world movies that I recently have been getting my feet wet with rapture movies cus I think i've seen all the zombie/end of days movies lol I recently saw these 4 films known as the Thief in the Night Series (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Thief_in_the_Night_(film_series))(wiki) which is basically the American rapture story where like the new world order takes over.
They are both fantastically terrible and fantastically awesome at the same time. Unfortunately the 5th film was never finished (Tinfoil: because the 5th film is real life oh no!) Apparently they were showing this movie in church groups across the country and everyone believed it was real lol
Its both an amazing movie experience if you like old 70s horror and apocalypse movies, as well as an interesting little bit of recent history haha

Cabin in the Woods is fucking fantastic.
Trick R' Treat is the most gorgeously-shot Halloween movie. Them colors!
Romero trilogy, of course. You can throw in 2005's Land of the Dead as well. It was fun.
Evil Dead trilogy, or just go with Evil Dead 2 for maximum win.
Event Horizon
Hellraiser
Hellraiser 2
But yeah, Trick R' Treat for purely Halloween film excellence.

Bit late but my fav horror movies lately:
HAUTE TENSION - Solid french grindhouse, on which they excel when they make solid horror
MARTYRS - Amazing from beginning until the end, specially the end.
DEVILS CANDY - Exactly what I think demons like to chew on for fun and pleasure
HEREDITARY - Classic Tropes , different approach, superb
MIDSOMMAR - More Documentary into our own hypocrisy than horror, somewhat existential, but good nonetheless.
SERBIAN FILM - because why not? You have to watch it to understand
THE RITUAL - UK horror, subtle and alien
There are many classics but these are the ones I would like to delete off my head to re watch again and enjoy them fully.

I will if I can find it on torrent, sadly where I am from I can only access stuff through the power of torrents.
Dont think it will help keep the show alive, but it will have another viewer.;)
