I ran through all the installation instructions, i zipped and copied over the v52 patch files to my C:\EQ\EQFiles directory. When i double click Launch Titanium it prompts the command prompt to execute C:\WINDOWS\system32>start eqgame patchme and i get the error Windows cannot find 'eqgame'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.
Any ideas what is going on here and how to resolve this issue?

Happened to me today. Tried every suggested fix and still happens.
I have two desktops and a laptop that it's installed on and all 3 did this at the same time. My main desktop I did all the troulble shooting on and the other two are still the original install.
Played on my main PC earlier today 0 problems and now all 3 are crapped out. NONE of fixes work and at the time of this writing its been about 8 hours and I've yet to hear anything. As a matter of fact I started a new thread and it's not even posted yet.
Guess EQ decided that its done with me for now. If you find a fix please post it here.
Have you been able to play since then?

If you are getting an error about cannot find eqgame. Then you will need to make a shortcut to eqgame.exe (right click create shortcut) and add patchme to the end of the Target line of the shortcut's properties. So that it looks like something like this.
C:\your_everquest_directory_\eqgame.exe patchme

Don't forget to set the eqgame.exe compatibility to WinXP SP2 or SP3. I use SP3.

If your install directory is on a different drive than C: you could try adding the drive letter that your install is located on at the first line like so:
D:
start eqgame patchme
If that doesn't work you can change directory to where your install is located:
D:
cd D:\Games\P1999
start eqgame patchme
If using WinEQ2 you can do something like this:
D:
cd D:\Games\P1999\Related Apps\WinEQ2
START WinEQ2.exe /plugin:WinEQ2-EQ.dll "P1999"
exit
Maybe one of those will work for you. If not, never mind me. If this does work, you may want to make a copy of it and rename it as with every patch the launch titanium.bat will be overwritten.
