Thex Dagger Quest spam. Thoughts?

You know what's wrong with this? While I like the player-made idea to form a line so everyone gets a turn, there are people in this "line that have multiple" Thex Daggers already (so often they name their alts specifically for this).

I want to respect "the line" but why should I if I haven't had a chance to get my own Dagger yet? I appreciate the line idea, but I don't appreciate having to "wait" behind people who are deliberately spamming this quest for financial gain. (Which is fine! just dont expect everyone to abide by a player-made rule.

If I were to just skip this "line" I really dont care what the people affected think. What I care about is GM input on this. Thoughts everyone? Should I just skip "the line"? LOL! If the line wasnt full of Thex spammers then I'd gladly wait.

What I think is funny is people are farming this to sell in future... problem is... kunark was kunark a very very long time on blue... won't been on new servers. The advantage of them is a lot shorter term and not as important.

I snagged one, but only because I was running from Qeynos to GFay and it was on the way. I'll likely never use dang thing. The server will be totally flooded with them, and they're really not that useful.

It was easy enough to do before it got crowded, but I wouldn't personally wait in line to do this quest.

I will admit Im on my 3rd. I plan to have them on 3 chars, this way each one has one. And in a goofey way, I want a couple to give away some time in the future (I'm an odd duck, I love to surprise people). But who knows, maybe with all the other little farmers here, there will be plenty.. But I do not know that for sure. But, it is easy to do, and something I can get work done while waiting in line (love multitasking), and it takes away the sting that I will most likely not be getting a manastone. So it's a win-win-win. 5 thex plz!

Way, way off. Zlandicar is an absolute nightmare without:

1. a zerg
2. 255 MR
3. 255 DR

255 DR is hard to attain without swapping gear out (thereby losing MR, or HP) without a Thex dagger.

Thex is a dream item.

Did the line yesterday, spent just over an hour in line. Did laundry, watched youtube and had some laughs chatting with the assling conga-line and a few others on their mains. Had one douche canoe dart in, sit on the spot and /afk to make it even more obvious what they wanted to do, but that ended up playing out hilariously in the end. All in all was a rather pleasant experience in the social setting.

I did it last weekend too and the line was only a few long. There was one obvious alt for the quest someone had, but everyone was friendly and it went by rather quickly all told.

I don't mind the alts getting it or folks getting multiples, it's caused no drama and it's a timed, non-combat quest which tend to be rarer in EQ.

Lenya is guaranteed to spawn. 100%. it takes... what is it, 18minutes? between spawns.

Everyone in that line is guaranteed to get a dagger. EVERYONE. And it's not a /list situation where you have AFK checks. Say you're in line, sit behind the next guy, and go make a damn sandwich, watch some netflix.

You're basically complaining that people are actually being civil and forming a line instead of everyone spam clicking where the spawn is at on spawn time to get it first. Plus you are the one suggesting that maybe you should line jump. The forming of a civil peaceful line is not the problem, you saying you should line jump and people like you that think they deserve to line jump are the problem. I have 7 daggers and got 2 more for guidies and I never waited behind more than ONE single person for any of them. Just camp there, log in, if a long line camp, and try again later. Two of my daggers I literally got in under a two minutes. Logged in, no one there, sat down in front of spawn, 90 seconds later pop, turn in, and done.

They probably aren't going to be worth anything like blue because everyone and there cousin has multiple on green/teal. Saying they aren't a good item is wrong though. Sure not that many needed raid situations, but for leveling they are great. Shaman mobs are everywhere while leveling. 50 DR is amazing at low levels.

constantly 6+ people in line, mostly lvl 1's check out high pass is littered with corpses of asslings, also you did not pop it twice because after you get your note the npc despawns for 18min... it dosent just respawn, in 90 seconds, you sir have no credibility

Zlandi with a zerg is a nightmare. Zlandi is ideal with 20-30 people who know their shit. MR is definitely important for MT and RT though.
