Could green go to luclin?

I know a lot of people are ready to answer "no", but I just want to present the scenario first. Basically, green/teal would go through their normal timeline and they would hit the point where they merge back into blue. Instead of this happening, the server would move to luclin and your characters would be permanently copied over to blue. From that point, you would be able to keep playing on green on your copied characters before the server would eventually be restarted again in about two years.

I believe most people would choose to stay for luclin just because of the novelty of it and because it's something new. The main reasons to think about this at this point are 1) the staff has pretty much completed all their main objectives at this point 2) we've played the first three expansions enough to where everyone has had a chance to experience the content many times over 3) luclin "ruined" some aspects of eq but brought a lot of interesting things that are nostalgic and worth experiencing.

AA? Raids in ssraeshza temple? Grinding out your alts in paludal caverns? Beastlords? Obviously, these things are outside the spirit of p99 blue. But as a short experiment on a server with no long term aspirations, it could be ALOT of fun. There are a lot of things I would like to do again in luclin since I've accomplished a lot already in the first two expansions.

Your idea is rational. However, I think one of the main reasons Luclin won't happen here is that the project leaders themselves don't love Luclin.

A lot here would welcome it, and a lot wouldn't, but none of that matters. Server devs have stated they never never never will do it. Unfortunately, that's your answer.

I am hoping for custom content. Fill in the holes on the map, Barren Coast off Stonebrunt, Unkempt Wood off Jaggedpine Forest, Rujarkian Hills between South Karana and Orc Highway. Make Kerra a playable race. Symbol quests for every deity.

This area is already in-game as the southern half of the south Ro zone. Not much is done with it, but it's there. I like the general notion of filling out the map, although we don't have many era-appropriate assets available with which to do so. Veksar might be okay. For the most part such an idea would require new construction using era-appropriate texture resolution and polygon counts. Can't simply use the newer zones because they're too out of place.

I really didn’t like how PC made all other zones in its level range obsolete. Luclin was the first expansion that really killed off vanilla content.

Juntsie no understand why dere be squishies who wanta' go da moon. Dat rock in sky far away. Dere is prolly no good pickled gnomies to eats, and da air not gud to breath. Why go to moon when swamp warm? Flies and muck for all.

Dere also major legal issues with da proposed moon-route. Namely dat subsidiary of evil Ogre S corp owned by sketchy off-shore private equity firm already stake claim to da moon.

OP, there are plenty of other servers that offer Luclin. By all means try them out, this is emulating classic Everquest. I know your not that much of a furtada.

While this is true, you should also be able to realize that other servers haven't been able to recreate the same experience that p99 has.

Also the difference between luclin and velious is literally one year.

Yeah it sucks the devs have said they won't do it. I'd love to atleast see AAs, mounts, ancient spells, beastlord be added to blue sometime. A lot of cool stuff got added with that xpac that they could work into blue to keep it fresh now that green is out.

Yeah I've played on that server before but its just not the same or as good as p99. They allow boxing and you really have to since the server pop is so low. The live TLPs are alright but there is just way too many quality of life changes that they have made its almost a different game. I just think a custom version of luclin would be amazing using the p99 rules.

Except there is no custom content right now and the assumption is that they will be able to make content that's better than luclin without making any mistakes. I really doubt this will be possible.
