Connection failure error

The installation went smooth but when I try to launch the game it says "Patching Everquest", "Connecting..." and then "Connection Failure" error shows up. What do I need to do?

I tried to launch it from the installation folder, nothing changed.

patchme is missing. If you add that to the end of the target (after the quotes) it should fix it
