Are we going to be seeing half the server as dark elves?

Legacy items are here until May, and I’m already seeing higher level groups composed almost entirely of dark elves thanks to them having guises. I gather the guise camp isn’t all that difficult, if you want one you can pretty much have one. The lion’s share of the server population is playing now, not coming after May, so I’m envisioning a server full of dark elves running around lol.

i got my guise on Complete, then used it to do quests in Grobb and Oggok so I don't have to use my guise. deception!

also, legacy items need to drop 6 at a time

It allows anyone to be a dark elf whenever they want. It's the only way that a druid Monk Ranger shaman and Paladin can ever have that illusion

Question - after May 2020, say if I still have the mask as a non Rog/Bard, does the effect still work as clickable from my inventory? Or do they eventually make it to where the clicky effect only works if it's equipped?

Guise remains a separate item from the mask that replaces it. So if you have a guise it always is clickable from inventory. Mask actually is clickable from inventory too; the "any slot/can equip" note on the mask means that if you CAN equip it, you can click it from anywhere, even if it isn't currently equipped.

Because of this there's very little reason for a rogue or bard to worry about getting a guise unless they want the illusion asap or want it for the style points, since the mask will function the same way for them forever, regardless.
