After sitting for god knows how long at my mid 20s I've be pretty close to just throwing in the towel. Everywhere i go during prime hours is camped to death, even places ith garbage exp/loot. Anything that has either good exp or good loot is poopsocked 24-7. These groups all seem insular and circle jerk each other or something. I was in high keep the other day and they had an open spot or two and I had os charmed and asked if they had a spot. No replies. half an hour later they add someone else, and then another after that.

It's getting to the point I start getting labeled an asshole and just rule lawyering and pulling whatever I want.

i even changed my real life schedule so I could play more in the off hours, like 2-6 AM. Virtually is nothing has changed except the places with garbage exp/loot are a little less camped, but if they are camped they are usually off in bumfuck egypt and and giant pain in and the ass to go elsewhere when you find even that garbage exp/loot location camped, like at 4 AM 2 bards kiting all the aviaks worth killing at KFC. Anything with good exp/loot is out of the question as its camped 24/7, except maybe for town guards.

Try the red server, camps are wide open and no one dares to give others the silent treatment because you can jump them.

Two options imo.

Join a good guild, try to make friends, and learn places to go that aren’t as popular.

Or throw in the towel and come back when Kunark is released and there is a literal fuckton of total content available.

I've been lucky enough to have had a different experience, a positive one, despite being somewhat of a moody person. For many popular zones, such as Unrest, the best spots are camped 24/7 but often the group leaders will run a list so that they can keep on exp-ing with little to no down time as and when group members leave.

I would strongly suggest, then, that you visit zones like unrest and ask if there are any camps and request your name be put on a list for when group members leave. I would also say wit and humor are very much in favour when it comes to bonding with people online and becoming known as a complainer is the kiss of death.

I had to wait 3 hours to get into a prime exp spot. Then I sat at that spot for around 19 hours and had to coach a bunch of 40 year old adults how to play nice, alpha loot, stop melleing you need to sit and regen your mana u fool!

Also had to constantly keep people on an imaginary list and fill slots as needed.

What do you do when you have a list of 6 people and none of them can tank and your tank leaves? You have to reach out and replace. Was no easy task. Only to catch a level or 2 for a full Saturday /played

Gonna be a long Haul on this server, imagine Still playing everquest in 2023?

Some of us have been playing this project for over 10 years...

Its not a race, steady as she goes do what you can. Last week every night after work I couldn't find a group but I would do simple things for a few hours solo no xp, faction, travel work on some shitty quests,

Immerse yourself you will find something to do promise you

They are not obligated to invite you. Stop being entitled.

You are sounding like a terrible human being. Not getting responded to or invited to groups does not warrant shitty behavior in kind.

You are likely taking this 20 year old elf simulator too seriously. It is probably best that you quit.

Funny. I have the exact opposite experience on green. Usually there's not enough groups at my lvl range on my rog (39). And I started lvling a shaman alt for times when I need something to do when my rog cant find a group. My shm is 29 now and I've actually have pretty much NO issues finding groups within 30 minutes even in places like Upper Guk. I think the issue is moreso you than the server itself especially considering you play an enc and CC is almost always a valuable addition to any group.

Do people realy expect to get into some of the best xp group Consistently like high hold keep on either server ?

I sure as hell didnt all the neckbeards and min max xp rates players are going to be living there.

If you cannot find a group in other non prime zones then solo Go out and find low blues to kill in a zone that is not a prime xp zone. 3 to 5hours per level is not unheard off . like many have said its not RACE enjoy the journey.

This, only I'm on Green. Groups have all gone smoothly. Positive attitudes. Fair looting.

OP is putting off a strong negative vibe. Might have something to do with their bad experiences.

I've had a wide range of groups vs. being ignored on Green. It 100% depends on the day, really.

There's some moments I've been LFG for hours. Literally HOURS.
Other days I log on, throw on LFG, go to the washroom and come back a few minutes later to several different invites from various zones.
It's so random.

FWIW, I find the 1-20 grind to be a difficult one to find groups. After that, people realize you need to team up, and start looking for others, but is still a bit hit or miss.

So you hang out in one of the most toxic zones in the game, charm the most popular charm pet, attempt to rulelawyer your way into a group, then proceed to pull from others' camp when you do not get your way. Which, of course, gives you a bad reputation as an asshole ruleslawyerer.

Yeah man, not sure why you aren't getting groups.

You do realize most classes can solo with exception of maybe a warrior and rogue low blue mobs right ?

I do not go all crazy in dungeons like all you chanters haters think. I level 24 to 25 in about 4hrs in south karana taking an easy pace where i could get up do house work and other stuff. 2 blue every 6min. Did not even charm just used my animation and would reclaim it when the centuar would run.

This is just part of the classic EverQuest experience. You either come to terms with the fact that you need to buy the best loot off of damaged pixel junkies or you quit playing. Never assume that you'll ever be able to camp any halfway decent spawn yourself and try to find the fun where you can. Step away from the poopsockers and a whole new world opens up for you, filled with cool EverQuest nerds who will give you the shirt off their back.

my best friend is playing his first character and If eelt he pain of teaching this game.

It's nice that it's bringing new people into the fold. but it's a lot to learn. Gotta constantly remind him not to be standing when idle, looting all the time, wasting mana on nukes etc. Just gotta remember how long it's taken myself to get the understanding I have.

You’re completely right OP. As a high 20’s Cleric I sit lfg all Day(3+hrs) with my lfg tag on, do /ooc lfg, send tells to multiple people in multiple zones, “get added to lists that people don’t even pay attention to” , guild chat and all. It’s all camped to fuck. But I guess that’s what we get for leaving our sick twinkle over on blue. I’m not quitting, but it is a huge pita, and you literally have to go to bum fuck nowhere to find at least slow exp. but it’s been fun as well, I’ve been to two places I’ve never been.. and I’ve replayed for 10+ years. Ps you’ll all be paying out the ass for this 90% Rez in a few weeks for making me sit lfg all day lol. See ya inside

Ive had a different experience, three times over the weekend I got sent a tell , if i wanted a group in upper guk , one at Scryer camp, other two killing frogs near dead zl,

I wasnt lfg or had my lfg tag on, or anything , i was just soloing in oasis, and got a random tell if i wanted to group in upper guk.

While prime zones are always nice, there are a lot of good exp spots you can go to , outside of the dungeons , for good exp, and cash, i was at one spot Sat, i was the only person there , ended up making 400pp in 3 hours . and got a level at 20.

if you need to check out Alamars level guide, or p99 per level hunting guide , if you arent sure of alt places to go.

there are great spots, that are seldom used

High population is only kind of related to sitting in lfg a long time.

On a lower pop server, it's not like soloers or many duos/trios are going to invite a cleric to join them just because he bothered to type a few characters into his chat window and is sitting there. It's not like a group that already has enough healing is going to invite you over someone else. It's not like reducing the server population by half means you'll have the same number of groups around but they'll all be needing 3 more members.

Lower population will also mean fewer groups. And many of the people out there earning exp didn't want to add you regardless.
