Camp priority: Who Gets It?

So can a Level 30+ Enchanter claim a level 15 camp (for example, the entire throne room in Crushbone) to farm himself belts and pads or would a full, level-appropriate group be given priority of the camp if they chose to move in?

The solo Enchanter is keeping all mobs down to ensure the camp is "being held."

The full group should go in and try to take the camp by force, either to force a GM ruling, or much more likely, to just chase away that enchanter.

Man.. I've reached 0 passion to play anymore.. That level 1-11 grind on green is as far as i could get.. It was filled with cringy neckbearding situations on the regular.. Which ultimately killed any real want to play anymore.. Sad day of realization today for me :(

I understand where you're coming from with the enchanter being way over leveled for the content, but that's the rules.
First to camp and is holding down spawns is the only requirement. Lvl is irrelevant.

Technically they can do so. If I'm playing solo though, I'll usually let the group come in and EXP and offer to help them (whether by buffs or killing things if stuff gets hairy) in return for them letting me have some loot.

Holding the throne room in CB is not zone monopolization.

I get what you're saying, but just as a general rule, a lvl 30 character could make more platinum farming level appropriate content, and then use that platinum to buy CB belts or whatever item they desire.

Sometimes really good items drop off low level mobs, but this doesn't seem to be one of those cases. This appears to be a lvl 30 enchanter not good enough at the game to do real content so does trivial content instead.

Lol what? What are you even talking about? This is clearly just someone farming belts and pads to either sell or to level up an alt.

Sure, they could go farm plat to buy belts and pads, and maybe farm that plat quickly, but overall that's still less efficient. They have to go farm the plat, then go to EC/Gfay and hope someone is selling a sufficient amount for them and/or wait around hoping to find multiple sellers over a possibly extended period of time to get to the number that they want. It's faster just to farm the belts/pads and transfer them to the alt.

Among my small stable of characters, the highest one is level 30. So no, I have not farmed lower level areas to boost my even lower level characters - rather just take the character with the appropriate level to that area. Add that I prefer to solo due to a variety of reasons...

It’s clear the rules do not allow someone to demand an actual camp being legitimately held. You’re right that it’s in poor taste, but that doesn’t mean we are justified if we try to steal the camp or say something mean. You could try asking nicely, however, and many players will relinquish the camp out of politeness. I think that’s the best option. Anyway, the camp will become available at some point.

Yeah there's a difference between legality and decency. The guy has every right to the camp even in the face of a full, level appropriate group. If it were me I'd leave or at least work out a way to share the camp, but that's me.

I think my issue with this particular example is how good of a place to exp Crushbone TR is. Like if you wanna farm, do it at a cash camp not on the exp super highway.

Sure, they can also fte everything else, and still claim there one spawn. But technically, there is nothing stopping anyone else from getting fte on any of the non claimed spawns.

I got one better for you. Travelled to crush the other day seeking a black heart. As soon as I entered the throne room some bard started yelling at me in all caps that I need to stay out of the way and that they had D'vinn camped. Proceeded to petition me and tell lies to my guild and take screenshots of me when I went up to the tower. I sat there for 4 or 5 hours while I was supposedly 5th in line for the black heart, a near worthless no drop item used in a quest in oggok. Why 4 or 5 hours? Because they were intentionally leaving the PH up for the spawn and then stealing D'vinn everytime I got him to spawn. Don't expect people to be civil, just play by the rules and worry about yourself because we have some boobs on the server rn.
