Eh. Green seems to fluctuate between enchanters and shamans being significantly more common than each other. The general trend of druids and necros > enchanters and shamans > clerics and magicians > others seems to hold up though.

A lot of people are leveling casters/priests to 50 first to gear up their actual Melee mains.

On Mangler TLP(where I came back to after 20 years) people used to joke about the game being named CasterQuest instead of EQ. Yup ^^ lol. It's a co-op lets play together game but people still like the option to solo and have a chill time of it and not need planar level gear to make it happen.

PS Not saying clerics can solo super well, but people sure do love them :P

This is pretty funny. I have played all melee and hybrid classes to level 50+ except rogue, and have never mained a caster in my life. Teal starts up and I say "what the hey, lets do something different" and roll a shaman to be different. TO BE DIFFERENT. lol.

I leveled a necro to pump some cash into my rogue. Got items was looking for so now necro tipping his hat and sitting in bench now = }

I initially went with an Enchanter to make some gold for alts but got semi burned out at around lvl 38 so I made a second class to farm for alts.... So now I have a lvl 38 Ench and a 30 Necro but have yet to start farming for that melee alt.

I want to do either a monk or a rogue just not sure which since I've never played either.

Yeah, but a ton are in the teens, I'm not sure they should really count til they're like 30. They have a lot of time to quit over the lack of gear/aggro.

Here's the takeaway for me, just supporting more of what I've experienced on teal - you basically have 6 classes you can actually play past 40, and you better be comfortable soloing. Luckily I picked a class that is playable(shaman).
