New to server

Hi there,
i have been playing on some of those other servers for the last few months whenever I have gotten some spare time. I really wanted to come to P99 and play a shaman but i was hoping to get some advice on what race.

I am leaning towards barbarian basically because they have high strength and are welcome in good cities but I also like ogre because they look awesome.

Please give me some advice, thanks in advance :D

should give stats and what is better. also barbarians can wear 2 sizes of armor something to think about.

Welcome to the server. Trolls are nice too because of their innate regen (on top of the shammy regen spells). And Trolls look awesome too :D

Only drawback imo is that XP will come more slowly, as it will with an Ogre.

Awesome. Had a look at the site. Didnt coonsider troll because of the much lower strength stat. Is it very important?

Don't worry about STR as a Shaman, you are the king of buffs. Worry more about HP/WIS/MANA, since you are a wisdom caster that can convert HP to Mana.

Racewise, if you want to be "good", it's gotta be Barbarian (they make great Shaman anyway with higher wis/slam), if you want to be "evil", Ogres are good for their frontal Stun immunity, Trolls for the regen (both get slam as well), and if you just don't care there's always Iksar who have the regen, wisdom, and are generally badass all around.

Iksar probably the best shamies if you are a power gamer, and there is also AC bonus

There might also be a larger population to interact with as an Iksar right now since Kunark is more crowded than the old world.

Ive started my iksar shammy got him to level 10. Enjoying it when I have the time :)

Since HP is mana for a shaman, the innate regeneration of the troll and iksar gives them the edge. With Kunark so well populated it would be pretty hard to select a troll over an iksar...being close to your home city (especially at low levels) sure makes things easier as an evil race.

The only reason to pick a barbarian imo is to be good.

STR is not so important for a shaman. wis, hp and mana are the critical stats.
