I know this is classic but I think it's only right we add Brad McQuaids tombstone in game. I can use all the support I can get please. If it wasnt for him none of this would exist. RIP

Realize that idiots will always try to disrespect a monument. I originally wanted one as well, but now realize people will just corpse disrespectful names near the tombstone for shock value using throw away accounts.

Then have those accounts suspended or banned. And I dont really think anyone will disrespect his tombstone like that

I presume the p99 population is mostly aged 30+... it’s crazy how immature grown ass people can be.

Why not add an unkillable NPC that roams norrath?

I still like the idea of an unreachable "monument", like the dev NPCs that are (used to be?) in Plane of Sky.

Because they were on an unreachable island, no one could corpse near it or otherwise disrespect it (and in PoSky specifically the hard-to-reach nature of the zone would also deter such nonsense).

I think the fact that we even have this server and are still playing is quite a monument in itself.

Anyone know if the DeyBreak Games servers did anything for him?

They added a load screen to the game that pays their respects, and wrote a post on the official EQ forum: http://everquest.fanra.info/wiki/File:Aradune_loadscreen.jpg.

It's at #3 on the p99 wiki map (https://wiki.project1999.com/Eastern_Plains_of_Karana) if anyone cares to check it out on live.

focus on the living and pending problems instead? Best way to honor it.

Seems like a pretty dumb reason to not do something - "because people might be shitty about it" - even if they do...who cares?...the monument in itself is still a tribute.

To anyone who says 'well that's not classic so no space for it here', needs to also boycott /list

/list is mostly classic, it's just that on live it was enforced (slightly differently but more or less the same) by human GMs.
Because P99 is a volunteer-run organization, they have to rely on automation, but the core mechanism of making players wait on lists for mobs is classic.

100% agree but it needs a 10 minute engage timer on the spawned mob

Honor Brads memory by removing the non-classic(blasphemous) aspects of the server.
