I'll go first rather than let my horrible lack of creativity tempt me into ripping ideas later.
I don't know if you want our names on them or not just to prove we didn't smash a level 1 look alike 600 times.
I've convinced myself this looks like a skull. Added the gate to help form the Jaw and teeth. Tell me you see it! (If I get the image to upload right).
Originally had 27 corpses but lost 2 or 3 accidently looting them.
I felt Paineel was fitting for my location considering the amount of time I've spent farming the skeleton guards for pp here rivals my RL amount of time spent farming cash to pay my mortgage.
Went from 60% into level 49 down to 5% into level 47 and gained about 27 EE in the process. I don't mind as I enjoy leveling pre 50. This shouldn't be hard to top. GL y'all!

Dang, I wish yall had asked sooner. They were all sitting in front of Oggok for a couple days. I just deleted all those characters yesterday, since someone mentioned getting suspended:

Grumzagia, Grumiaria, Grummage, Grumrita, Grumyza, Grumzaizai, Grumzeegra, Grumzeti, Grumzeta, Grumkek, Gramph, Gremph, Grummph, Gruumph

I took this first darker shot at 4:17pm on Sat. 1/11. Then went back to take the second shot with better lighting at 11:17am on Sun 1/12.

It looks like the server ticks or something seems to cause some disturbance. I put all that effort into dragging those corpses where I wanted them so their heads are buried. But in the second shot you can see all these faces sticking out and kinda ruining it.

Anyway, my next idea is to use Trolls along with Ogre corpses. I think that will give me 4 different colored torsos to work with, which will open up the options:

OK, after a few days working on it I'm calling my corpse skeleton finished (in other words, I'm tired of jumping repeatedly to my death).

I wanted to recreated the classic EQ skeleton (http://wiki.project1999.com/Skeleton), complete with a speech bubble saying 'ha ha ha!'. The naked male high elf seemed like the perfect color, and when oriented correctly the dark feet give almost a drop-shadow/3d effect... at least that's what I was going for!

Based roughly on the number of stacks of fishing grubs used (one grub per corpse), I estimate the body count at 700+. It ended up being larger than I originally planned and the kelethin platforms are above it, so in order to get a good straight-down view I had to combine three screenshots.

I recommend watching the video to get a better sense of it, or even better: go see it in person. It's in Kelethin on Blue. As of the time of this post, it's got a little over three days before it starts disappearing. Just head NW from the PoD lift until your framerate drops. :D

I didn't keep very close track of time, so I'm afraid I couldn't give you an exact number of hours. Before I really even started I spent a couple evenings messing around with the location and procedure before finally settling on this. Once I started in earnest, I spent four evenings and part of two days working on it. I can definitely tell you that making all the corpses took longer than arranging them, though neither was what you'd call quick.

For the people that can spin up their own server and know how to script something like this they can blow any person out of the water that is just letting the guard kill them to create corpses. Not really even the same competiton between those two populations. Mostly because they can just mass create bodies and not worry about decay.

You bring up a good point though. There probably ought to be some evidence (screenshots or witnesses, etc.) to prove someone didn't do some kind of magic on their own server. I'm sure there are people who witnessed mine (I heard a few comments/conversations about it in /ooc). If needed I have additional screenshots/video and some logs I can post.

Ok! It took me a while to actually get this going, but here's my fungus man

It's made of shurikens and muffins, and has a Fungus Covered Great Staff! I couldn't think of anything a player can drop that would be red, but I did know about shurikens to mimic the white mushroom body. Because of how shurikens orient themselves north/south I had to have a fully horizontal staff grip so the shurikens made sense visually.

I wanted to fill in the body, but that ground despawning timer is mean. It really was a speed challenge. Hope this submission isn't too late for the judges / community to see it.

The people up for consideration did an amazing job. Looking at previous posts from these accounts shows they don't need pp. From what I can tell everyone that has won any of the events put on buy SM has more pp than they know what to do with and that's okay. I received about 8k just for showing up and competing and that has helped tremendously.
I just don't think we should lump everyone into one group and call them greedy, because in the spirit of competition, one person wins and everyone else loses.

Hey guys, I appreciate y'all looking out for me, but really it's not necessary to try to fund-raise a consolation prize!

I've been playing here since 2010, and while I am not a super monk (LIKE SOMEONE WE KNOW) I am doing alright for being a filthy casual. In fact I recently hit 59 (yes, since 2010. I'm slow), got my long-awaited T-staff, and have like 12k+ in the bank. Of course a rare item like an AoN would be super cool, but that's life! It's supermonk's contest, and thanks goes to him for putting it on. I think it's great that at least some people who have the means do this kind of stuff.

At the end of the day I had fun making my skeleton, and I hope people thought it was cool.
