Can anyone confirm or deny this windows app works with this Titanium version of EQ?

Works with no problems here, so nice to play borderless windowed p99.

1. Also, if you using Windows 10:
2. set your "eqgame" to run in compatibility mode for windows xp service pack 3.
3. make a shortcut of the "launch titanium" and use this to launch p99.
4. once logged into a character, ALT + O and set your native monitor resolution and make sure it is set to windowed mode.
5. then run Borderless Gaming and you are set.
6. make sure nothing is set to "run as administrator" as I have found this causes the game to not launch on multiple friends' installs as well as my own.

So happy to eliminate having to use WINEQ2 and zero crashes.

Thanks guys - the instructions above seem to be giving me the behavior I want.

Questions:

1. I've followed the instructions above. Do I need to have "Borderless Gaming" running each time I launch EQ now? I have added eqgame to my "Favorites" in BG.

2. The native resolution of my monitor is 3840x2160 (4K) and when this resolution is used, the EQ in-game UI is very tiny and I am not sitting close enough to read it. Can I force a "UI scale" to make the in-game UI larger while keeping the native 4K resolution?

Thanks so much in advance!

I am still trying to determine the order of operations and how to set Borderless Gaming.

Once EQ is launched, there are a couple of lines that end in "[eqgame]" even though I am running only one instance of EQ.

I want to run windowed with no title (hence, "borderless"). I got it working once, but now when I try to get a full screen window of EQ it just shuffles me back to desktop when I hit the Windows key - which was not the original behavior.

I think I have figured it out.

1. Launch EQ
2. Launch BG (having already added eqgame to "Automatic")
3. Profit

run BG as admin

run BG as admin

I am not doing this currently and it appears to be working as expected. What does running BG as admin change?

sometimes not running it as admin messed with the priority of the program

not sure, I just had an issue early on and doing that fixed it

I am assuming that you mean Windowed Borderless Gaming by GameplayCRUSH.

You want it in a window, then WindowedBorderlessGaming can turn it into a borderless window which covers a whole monitor. For some reason it often leaves it in a window, but switching focus (to anything else) and back again seems to work most of the time.

If you alt+enter into full-screen, that's not full screen borderless window, so you get default Everquest behaviour of 'help, help, how did the user exit fullscreen? I should close myself and/or crash!'

I tried running this Borderless gaming program, and I some how messed things up when ever I tried to run it. I clicked the help link, and all that does is link you to a steam forum discussion, not instructions. So I ran EQ P99, then minimized that and ran Borderless Gaming. I found the eqgame and clicked the arrow to move it to the right side of the two little windows, thinking that would add the program I want borderless to the correct location. Evidently this is not how its supposed to work, because my entire screen turned to a solid light blue color. I tried opening task manage to close the Borderless Gaming program, but I could not see the task manager because of the stupid light blue color filling my entire screen. I had to reboot my PC. After that I uninstalled and reinstalled the program, thinking that would let me try again, nope. Even after I reinstalled I still get a full light blue screen and cant do anything...awesome.

Anyone have any ideas how to fix this ultra annoying mess?

Update

Ok turns out in the eqclient ini file I did not have all the window/video settings to my resolution, so now I can run full screen and not have to use that borderless gaming program that messed up my screen. Hope this can help anyone else having my same problem.
