In Options, you can click off Allow Auto-duck, the 6th button from the bottom. This may save your life.

Auto-duck can get you killed if you're fleeing and you get too close to an object like a tree or a low archway. If Allow Auto-duck is enabled, the game will duck you, ostensibly to help you pass under the object, but it also makes you run slower and prevents you from casting spells, which can lead to death when things get hairy.

You can still manually duck. You can also change what your Duck command is set to. Since I mainly move with WASD, I set Duck to x and Sit to Ctrl-x.

Auto-duck: it will duck you up.

I had a monk friend pulling in VP.. had a train on him and he was running it back to the raid with the intent of FDing before the train got to the raid. He somehow auto-ducked, didn't realize it, and wasn't able to FD, wiping the entire raid.

This is a real pro tip. This is especially useful in solA as an ogre. Well it was before they added shrink and I had to run my fat butt through solA pre-35/mask.

Neriak Commons right at the PoD. There's a rock there that will make you autoduck half the time. Annoying as hell until I figured I could turn it off...

Good advice. If you don't do it, do it. We need QoL on Green and this one is Classic™.

Videri owes me for all the INT I've lost banging my fivehead into the Rivervale bank's lintel.

This can be helpful to little races, too, for players who like to walk close to walls. Some places the collision detection makes you duck when you are near walls.
