So because I'm not good at Everquest I lost all my items on my 46 warrior quite a while ago and want to start playing him again. I'm completely naked at this point, though, and have no platinum. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to remotely become viable again through equipment I can get myself? I have a cleric that can duo with me.

If your corpse rotted with your gear on it, you can probably get it restored via petition.

Infestations rot off Vilefang atleast twice a week when multiples drop, you could also speak with a bard swarming there and definitely snag a pincer sword and if super lucky a psc.

Maybe check Skyshrine for rotting guardian armor pieces
For haste: I’d recommend silver chitin hand wraps as they are very cheap.
Do you have any budget at all or completely broke? I may have some stuff taking up bank space I could donate.

Those are all wonderful suggestions, thank you all so much! Sadly no we've only got like less than 100pp at the moment, but this should all help tons!

Staff of battle.
After you get a bit of plat find a Jarsath Trident on the cheap and a Silken Whip of Ensnaring. Sword of the Skyfire won’t proc until 50 and can be had likewise almost for nothing.
With aggro normalized (more or less) the Frostbringer and Sarnak Warhammer remains a really nice aggro combo while still doing respectful dps.
Otherwise banded and wedding rings is just fine.

On a 100P budget you can equip yourself in banded and vendor bought weapons (or freebies given out by somebody). It won't be good, but it'll be enough to make the character at least sufficiently functional to operate against easy stuff with your Cleric partner. From there you can do low/mid level camps for items that sell for 1K+ (goblin ring, grachnist, etc) and eventually re-equip yourself more properly.

If your corpse rotted, petition for it. They can possibly get it back for you. If you need to start from scratch, buy a couple cheap 1h in EC and go beat up guards in Highkeep. Vendor the fine steel and buy back gear as you farm.

Find me online on Zipity / Ziptank and I’ll throw you a staff of battle

Staff of battle, banded armour.
Kill spiders at velkator’s labyrinth and you may pick up some silver chitin hand wraps for free or cheap (they often rot as they are lore). Also crystal chitin and quest gems.
The orc camp in eastern wastes will upgrade your banded to rygorr and get you xp with the cleric.
Tag along on sky raids for a belt of concordance on rot and possibly daggas.
Infestation and trochilic’s skean are a couple of decent rot items.
Keep an eye on /who all for steamfont and necropolis.
Kael is another good spot for tag alongs. Lots of stuff a badly geared 46 might use.

I’d also be tempted to hit old school plat mobs as a duo. Hill giants, specs, ice giants, guards, etc. Fine steel with a vendor nearby (Or raw plat) is an underrrated way to save up a nest egg. If you are patient.
