IP Exemption

This isn’t a rant really, I’m just a little frustrated. I’ve played EQ for 20 years on and off, and now not only am I coming back to it but my girlfriend wants to try it too! Well, our excitement came to a halt when we realized we can’t play together from my house without an IP Exemption. Okay no problem, there is a clear and easy way to submit a request for that.

The bummer here is that I submitted it 2 days ago and haven’t gotten a response. I understand the staff isn’t paid to moderate the forums and that there are other people with similar requests but I was assuming that this wouldn’t take multiple days to complete. My girlfriend and I can’t even play together and it sucks.

I am really hoping to get this IP Exemption approved really soon so we can start to group and have fun together.

j/k, if the batches were done recently it may take some time before they do the next round of them. Also be sure you provided the information they required, it does help it process faster.

For now you'll have to settle for the classic, computer sharing done in '99. 1 hour on 1 hour off and watch each other play. Or sidesaddle letting your girl play and show her the ropes while you patiently wait a week for you IP exemption to go through.

from what i understand just dont box in populated areas. no one is buying the GF thing. this games like 20 years old and cant work right on phones so that means a few generations wont even know what this is and youd have to be at least in your teens to understand the basics of the game when it first came out which would put you in your 30s or higher and if you are still dating there is a high chance of birth defects of breeding in ages 30+. and if the GF thing is real, by the time you get caught boxing in the oasis both of you will probably have gotten bored of this game anyways and went back to WoW Classic

You can tether the second computer off your cell phone until your exemption app is processed. Game uses minimal data. Just don't box.
