I got myself in a good groove on ogre guards, eventually got through 25 once my skills were caught up and I got a couple of bits of banded. Wooshed through 26 too, could even do Tenties (26 took under a day of inattentive play!)

I've gone for a beach holiday and am hoping on completing 27 and 28 while building up a decent stock of gargoyle eyes. I think xp stops at this camp at 29. 29 will be an interesting one, no idea where to head. Once 29 is done it will be exciting times with the warrior BIS Axe of the Slayers in hand. Oh yes.

You have people begging GMs to clarify what makes a raid target and if pvp is okay to take place on this shit server. The community playing right now is the worst it has been since launch. This has become a safe haven for the worst performing bluebies on P99.

Teams = real reasons to lock down content and zones in order to enable the growth of your team and block the progression of the other team.

There is some racial/class imbalance within the teams ruleset of course, but thats just EQ PvP in general... the game was clearly not designed around PvP or you wouldn't need a bag full of clickables to compete.

But restarting red with the same ruleset will give us the same results, a dead server. IMO.

If P99 server, custom 2 teams west vs east no PVP engagement level limit is the best choice (to try for fun)

Your thought process almost seems to imply that we're going to play on some hugely populated server with multiple raiding guilds on each team, where as realistically each team will have 1 functional guild and said top dog team will just acquire rerolls/recruits the same way the top guild on no teams does. Teams is unbelievably imbalanced with faction and class restrictions.

It's almost like you don't remember that outside of Nihilum playing the server by themselves for a year and a half, that there was always competition whether it was Holocaust/Hokuten/Azrael/Imaginary Friends/Dentists and even TMO briefly.

Red is dead because the game is in Velious, Red initially died because of a nonexistent resist code, when that code was fixed the pop peaked back to 350, release the server in classic with a working resist code + pnp and you'll see 500 people.

Red 99 itself was a long distant promise originally. I came to project 1999 because there was the slightest whisper of a possibility of the PVP server.

It happened. Rogean and Nilbog team delivered. Amelinda happened, scum players happened, no feedback happened, abandonment happened, velious happened, server concluded.

Rogean again has spoken about the next PVP server, so I think it will happen as long as he stays in good health. It will be a good place for them to test some custom concepts on making a 1999 everquest replica server more playable, if they care to do so. all signs point to them caring, since they implemented a non classic /list system in order to make legacy items slightly more fair.

So let us stand here united in disappointment with the expectation that one day our disappointment will turn to joy as we get a fresh shot at some everquest PVP action.

Well it was great playing Red with you guys. Project 1999 has lost another player due to server incompetence. Don't take me wrong here, you guys have something great going on here. It is just unfortunate that Red 2.0 has not yet been announced. At the end of the day I'm glad that I'm leaving before I donated $10 that I put aside to support this project. Oh well shit happens and life is not fair, cheers to all of you guys on Red and thanks for the cheese, catch ya later

It's really close to the point where I am probably going to miss the red 2.0 launch just like I missed the red 1.0 launch after beta went on for ~100 years without any updates on things to test or announcements.

Really disappointed. Getting harder and harder to check the forum.

You derelicts should come play Wow ascension. Its an absolutely amazing modded version of WoW, at BC atm. Its classless, you get to pick each and every skill to your custom class. Im playing a tank with a pet and a mage who side heals. You can turn off and on full loot at will, theres a transmography style system that adds depth to the game. You break down items with extra enchantments (on top of vanilla ones) and they are added permanently to your book that you can use afterward to enchant items with. Its like a diablo version of wow. Its really professionnally done, in polished interface looks and mechanics. Come and check it out, we need warm bodies.

Area 52 is the regular server. Its like path of exile, theres leagues and then they get dropped into A52. Im on A52 so i can figure out all the ++ stuff.

Sorry man. That sounds like a fun version of WOW but I will never play that game, except if my life depended on it, then I would play it.

It goes deep into my bones the hatred of that game and the era it ushered in. I don't like it.

The PvP improved a lot over the years. Full item loot was rough lol back before city guards or safe zones just going to the bank was for thrill seekers haha
