The worse part of pvp is losing access to ur corpse otherwise its not that bad to die and just play an alt for a bit. Being able to summon corpses after 1hr real time after death would be sweet. Also disabling EXP loss so u can't die to trains in pvp and lose EXP.

I made a character on the red server and after so many updates and trying to get Project 99 working every week. I stopped playing. (Fast forward 2 years). I downloaded the information and started on the red server. All my keys where wrong and my name was changed to something stupid. I asked in /ooc what was the command to look a the keys so I could fix it. Well someone came bay to assist and just killed me. I could not even walk. I am certain he felt superior. It was a poor/bad experience just asking assistance. :(

It's just a lot of time commitment to do the content in Velious. I like it, it's very nostalgic but it's a lot of time. Red99 is really peak performance and you guys need to accept it for what it is. Perfect EQ classic PVE simulator. Which honestly EQ has always been a PVE game you can't deny it.

Get rid of bowquest fixes nothing there's still bards/windstrikers. Oh no the melee train will have to run in and hit the stunned target. Zonelines will be Tstaffs, or else they run/plug, TOV will be wands because its a long run to exit. Nothing would change lol.

The way you win Red99 is by winning PVE, the box has been running for like 15 years so a lot of people have uncontested deadbox pixels, but when you win your pixels on top of corpses it is fun. It gets old/annoying, it's like I said in my multiple essays it's like playing chicken with wasting time. It's not bad though like, it's just a massive time commitment, the raiding is very oof. It'll always be niche but the box is not bad overall.

Just don't expect fun PVP expect PVE, and people trying to defend that PVE, why not embrace it for what it is.

I used to. I was going to play green with a squad to prep for red 2.0 I'm glad I didn't. The squad would have been new to the game besides me so the regular grind would have been good for them but also pointless it seems.

Playing an MMO all alone isn't the best. But we know in present day there's only new server year where newbies join up and start questing.

Titanium / P99 Client Files. Playable with your P99 folder no downloads necessary. All mechanics are based off Red99/Classic. 0% custom content, 0% content removed.

Latest changes are things such as, Nukes show from max distance, players movement updates from max distance, removing non era spells from NPC_spells lists, grey mobs were fleeing at 50%, Non classic items in feerrot removed/Lizard tails drop appropriately now(99% are done), had to tweak some starting items, basically minor polishing type stuff, which will be ongoing forever.

Also, the way I levelled to 60 on Live was boxing a Shaman/Warrior in Chardok/The Hole. I understand their logic that not many people boxed back then and it promotes community, but technically it's not correct.

Red99 has a few other issues boxing isn't the main one, PVP in TOV is indoor and massive, golem wands gimmicky easy, WW is OOR bard griefable, also Bowquest in Fear. I can't think of any other zones PVP will take place but there's just no way for non gimmicky PVP in Velious =(

I don't have a solution for the current situation. I have explained why both Red and Rot won't be fun/populated.

The reason it won't happen on a third box would be, at least in my opinion, there's no demand for it people have done it too many times it's gotten boring, people can't collaborate enough to make bigger guilds to fight each other. People don't really enjoy it. Was the best part of EQ IMO I think people are crazy it's the best game ever made.

We tried a VPS but it just has high latency, I can't work with that you know. I also dislike paying someone for something I can do. So the box will be a long term project, and concept wise I am aiming for VZTZ. Classic hardness, without the grind time.

Sometimes they will see you on and if you aren't anonymous or you divulge your location they will swap to a char just low enough to kill you for the yellow text and then swap to a druid to help you recover and offer some power leveling to welcome you to red. I personally love the experience bonus of a full group ( I played on red in <No Rez Necessary> and it was amazingly fast to level )

1) Announce in Important > News & Announcements that Red 2.0 will launch in one week - this gives p99 players time to coordinate.

2) Launch original classic EQ on Red 2.0 and state only three months till Kunark ( include date but not time )

3) Launch Kunark on Red 2.0 and state only three months till Velious.

4) Launch Velious.

5) Once The Sleeper is awoken - the raid force(s) that took him down is recorded on
the forum so people know not only guild(s) but each toon with name / class / level / their worn gear and any gear in bags etc

But that is not all:

Since the devs have a record of each toon - now can have a new hurdle to wake the sleeper the next time.

The old raid force all renamed to <The Chosen Ones> or whatever

Have new raid force(s) vs <The Chosen Ones> in an instanced zone that is interesting to stream

For selling items => set price and sell duration. If nobody buys goes back to empty bank slot. If a another player buys - it is transferred to their
