I've installed the game,

put it to a different folder "eqemu" as suggested. extracted all the patch files and going to run titaniumeq and NOT everquest.exe

Its giving me the error that windows cannot find eqgame, but its there in the folder.

Any ideas?

Cheers

try
making a shortcut of the Titanium bat, then added Patchme at the end of the target line
or
make a shortcut to eqgame.exe (right click create shortcut) and add patchme to the end of the Target line of the shortcut's properties.
something like this.
C:\your_everquest_directory_\eqgame.exe patchme

It may help to set eqgame.exe compatibility to WinXP SP2 or SP3. I use SP3.

Let us know if either or neither of these work for you. :)

I ran the launch titanium right from the folder and it seemed to work.

I logged into the game and everytime i camp out it crashes. Is that normal as well? And the graphics were super poor. now I know the graphics weren't top notch back then, but this doesn't seem normal. I will grab a screen shot

Can you confirm if you tried the compatibility change on eqgame.exe please

The reason I ask, is it has solved the crash on camp for some people. For reasons.

Ok I made a short cut to eqgame.exe and added patchme at the end.

I used the shortcut and it loaded the game fine and I logged in.

The graphics now seem normal, it was nighttime when I said they looked bad so maybe that was the reason?

When I camped out, it gave me the crash error again.

enter the game and hit ALT+O and select the Display tab then click the Advanced button

Use Imgur to host images (only allowed external image site on P99)
Then for example use img tags [ img]https://i.imgur.com/6ubNd0D.gif[ /img] minus the spaces inside the brackets.

You know whats super weird.

When I look at the screen shot they look normal, but it differs on my actual screen. The darkness is like a dark blue with lines in it.

Oh well.... maybe its barbarian eyes lol.

They're using a custom UI

Edit:my mistake, I miss-read your post. What monitor are you using?
Some monitors have trouble with gradients and thus cause weird lines on flat gradient skys, fogs and such.

i didn't want you to change anything
i just wanted to see your card features to see if your gpu is being detected correctly
what gpu does it say you have?
you are probably using bad drivers handling your resolution incorrectly

set your eqgame to compatibility windows xp services pack 2 it should fix your crashing problem when login out.

you are probably using bad drivers handling your resolution incorrectly

This is a very valid point for almost any game even if they run correctly.

I am so sorry guys, I kept refreshing my page to see if anyone had replied and didn't notice there was a page 2.

Let me look into how to change my compatibility to windows xp services pack 2.

My monitor is the ASUS ROG SWIFT PG279Q

My GPU is Nvidia Geforce RTC 20170 Super

when you launch the game project 1999 will change your fps limit to 60, no matter what you put
unless you want tearing your monitor should be set to 60 hz

only other thing i can think of is
change Gamma=15 to Gamma=5

Hey there, I had a similar problem to you, almost made me abandon the game. What fixed it for me was the Duxa installer and more specifically the CPU FIX executable. Before it, the game would never go into full screen, gamma would get often bugged out, lag spikes and most annoying of all, constant floor flickering and frequent crashes.

Absolutely give it a shot: https://www.project1999.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28335
