Figured out how to clean up the model to print with the textures. Due to his size he lost his ears though.

Corpse versions of the different races would make A+ paper weights for people with office jobs.

This is excellent. Care to share the files or process?

I want to put together a full awlk through video in the future. But for now you can download the zip here (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TaemxZ3VhwLztMcJuwc22YVbm95CX0fM/view?usp=sharing). Or if you want you can buy a print directly from shapeways (https://www.shapeways.com/product/Z3CME36SY/everquest-troll?li=shop-inventory)(which is where I got mine since I don't have a printer myself) however bewarned that 1) since it's so small they'll say it's not printable but you can tell them to do it anyway and you may have to glue parts back together and 2) for some reason they removed the full color material option so all you can do is one solid color now. :(

If you grab my zip and upload it yourself to shapeways you might be able to get a full color one. It would also allow you to adjust the size if you want a bigger one or in other materials and such.

That's a cool idea. Maybe what I'll try for next. :)

i smell captive market. any chance of getting item models added onto a printable character model? not studied in the ways of 3d print files but no joke i'd put money down to mail a handful of friends figurines of their pixel-trophy laden elf toons.

It would be interesting to try making a decked out guy. What did you have in mind? Many of the swords in the game are just planes which wouldn't print without being modeled out.

That troll is solid material and the wedsite charges by how much material is used. So for refernce the 3 inch tall troll cost almost 50 bucks.

Also if I made anything for anyone I'd just hand off the .STL file so they can run off and print it themselves because I dunno if making any money no this is goochi with lawyers and shit.

I'm pretty sure it isn't. You probably won't get hauled to court over a few 3D-printed trolls, but Rogean might get a stern letter from Daybreak if there was money involved.

Very cool.

May I ask how much they charged for a single item like this and how long it took them to make?

$50 for a solid 3 inch tall dude with that particular material and it took like 2-3 weeks to show up in the mail. :)

Thanks...was thinking about buying some of these as Christmas gifts. It looks like they will be done in time, but not liking the no color thing.

They aren't as custom order friendly (they have TONS of options, but you use their tool), but I ordered some custom play miniatures for my D&D group as christmas gifts from: https://www.heroforge.com

That’s amazing the artistry in these textures were truly incredible. I didn’t know a 3D printer could paint so well!
