Man what a great day to be playing everquest. Besides 1999 its never been better than this project is right now.

Gotta hand it to the staff that has seen this vision become a reality. Green server is the first run through with classic timeline and all of its challenges and joys. It's really amazing to see that many players on a project of this kind.

Hey bud what were your characters names?

I came to eqEMU when I heard rumors of the original guild wars server which I sadly didn’t hear about until it was already over. Once I realized that it was possible for someone to make a real Everquest pvp server again I signed up and started playing shards of Dalaya and original project 1999 to beg everyone to devote some resources to a real pvp project. I’m just one of those psychos that really enjoy navigating the additional danger of PvP while really being a care bear at heart. I like the strategy and the way you need to treat every player as a real part of your environment not just a stupid name floating around.

I did try to recruit some real life friends to play green mostly to train them for red 2.0 but it didn’t quite work out.

I love the game and I love the players for being the kinda people that tolerate and enjoy a game like this but as I watch high end blue 99 drama unfold and the green drama I think that pvp offers even more benefits than I originally realized for this game.

I didn’t post here to talk about pvp but simply because I’m happy that there are this many people enjoying my favorite game in 2020 and at least a few of them would want to join me on whatever new pvp server comes next. Keeping the real eq community alive is a great accomplishment so I’m grateful to everyone involved.

At this point everyone I recognize on the forums is a grizzled eqEMU veteran and I consider you all allies because of our shared eq addiction. The pvp guys even more so because there’s even less of them.

Looking forward to being 60 years old finally getting to dive deep on this crap again when I’m mega old. If I had more time I would be playing green too and it red2.0 launched right now i would be making some real life sacrifices to make at least one character legacy awesome for myself.

pvp servers have their own issues they need to be short term cycles because 80% of the pop are crybabies who insta quit when they realize their guild wont be on top right off the bat
