First GM room break-in

Thank you to Xanthro 60SHM <DB>, Iodrin 60NEC <FDM>, and Yankovic 60BRD <DB> for participating with me, Segador 60SK <DB>, in what is probably a game first GM room break-in.
It took many hours of trial and error to figure out how to solve this puzzle and it was well worth it, just for us to pull it off together.

Nah, it was just something Xanthro and I came up with. Once we got Iodrin and Yank to help out, we were golden.

We also got Medris killed and he's gunna have Mendin patch the room so we can't break back in lol

We did it using our big brain powers! No h4x were needed, just manipulations of the game mechanics.

I'm intrigued. Since they're gonna patch it anyway, care to share the story on how you discovered the room? And then how you and your elf pals managed to figure out how to access it?

Not sure how they managed to get access to it, as it's quite deep behind a wall in the rat maze in PoM, but I saw the room multiple times via gnomevision while grinding on rats on my enchanter. It's filled with 4 of those invisible mobs named after numbers.

Maybe the mobs are high enough to summon, and a good nuke or pet sent through the wall dropped them into summon range? Pure speculation :)

That was basically our initial thoughts on busting the room. Unfortunately, we ended up dead or stuck in the walls and floor of the hallway many times!

In many zones there is a doorless entryless room that gms pop into- the locs on the walls are safe spots in each area, so if you’re stuck / corpse under the world / etc they can pop you back to those safe locs.

Since there is no way in or out save being a GM and porting in there with GM powers - it is impossible to enter the GM rooms....

And I’m STILL working on that quest-
Along with a few spawning mechanics and trap triggers I’ve found in PoM.


Once I solve the lost marble PoM gets burned down!

On Live EQ during Velious I was xp'ing in Crystal Caverns on my monk and somehow ended up in one of these rooms. I have NO idea how I got there, but there I was. I had to petition and wait for a GM to log into the game to come and port me out. I took a lot of screenshots, but of course have no idea where any of them are now.
