Seal Team Presents Christmas Day Open Raids!

Seal Team will be hosting open raids on Venril Sathir, Lord Nagafen, Lady Vox, Faydedar, Cazic Thule, and Innoruuk on Christmas Day, given no raid entities plan to compete. We will also be doing gift giveaways at each raid target. When each raid target spawns, an announcement will be made and everyone will have 30 minutes to arrive to the encounter to kill the target, roll on loot, and roll on gifts. You must be 46+, and of the appropriate class, to roll on raid loot from the open raid targets. Happy holidays everyone!

By all means though tell them you would prefer to sock and race for mobs and I’m sure they will oblige and yes lots of people will dislike you for it. It looks like one of the more successful guilds on the green server is going to host and organize the slaying of multiple raid targets in an OPEN fashion and any participant can roll on any items that are appropriate for their class.

Sounds like a great opportunity for people with no raid time under their belts, and no DKP in seal team or other guilds to get some dragon items.

if they didnt they deserved to, but thats pretty much the gist. also they did it without consulting or conversing with ANY of the un members that they just rejoined after they left because they didnt get a favorable voice regarding 7 day targets. when this was announced no other guilds that I know of that planned on competing had agreed to it. However, fuck it, they own the server so they do what they want and fuck everyone else right.

They basically unilaterally decided to make all targets except for Trak open raid without consulting or even talking to any of the other raid guilds. The excuse Smash used was "well we don't really have much competition, so we didn't see a point in reaching out." Now if any guild has plans to compete because lets be real some people don't celebrate Christmas or can't see family this year, they look like the bad guys for saying no. No one is saying what they are doing is wrong, but to not even contact other guilds who are competitive is just slimy.

ST never does anything that doesn't benefit themselves like either, just watching them spread their non sense in the UN is enough to make you lose all hope for makind.

@Calcium <Kingdom> I appreciate your comments, and would like to respond. Our intention was not to make a 7-day decision for the server, but simply to do something nice for the server like we did last Christmas. Other than on quakes, we rarely see competition outside of the occasional Trak and all Noble races. Last week Kingdom socked Naggy, and no other targets that week, and won Naggy when we were finishing our CT engage. Awesome job on that by the way! However, we got all other targets without a hint of competition. The week before that there was a VS race, that ST won, because it was at prime time and went late in its window. Not that long ago there was a Vox race that ST won too. Usually, on most if not all targets, we face no competition. Perhaps my announcement wasn't worded well and for that I apologize. Essentially, we were saying given we rarely see competition, we just want to share the content that we usually kill uncontested with the server and have some additional gift giveaways. If we do face competition, which is any guild's right, we plan to out-compete and still share the loot.

We didn't want to bother the UN with it because it didn't seem like a UN matter to say we were going to share loot with the rest of the server on usually uncontested targets, we didn't want other guilds to feel obligated to donate to our gift giveaways, and as you can see by the stream of personal attacks against me and my guild that followed my announcement no matter what I (we) do there are going to be some people that just want to attack you and bring you down in this body (that is also another reason why we left). It's not productive. In the end, I truly feel some in Kingdom leadership just can't help themselves and want to turn this thing we want to do for the server into a 'gotcha' moment rather than just enjoy the day and use it to mend fences and get their members opportunities at loot. - smash

We are supplementing the loot that drops at these events with items from our guild bank that we have accumulated over the last year. When it comes to ST philosophy we are very much in favor of inclusive events. Anyone at the event, ST or not, should have an equal opportunity to enjoy the event and the rewards from it. Everyone that plays p99 shares one thing in common... we have the same hobby. Let us take the holiday raids as an opportunity to enjoy and share our love of this nerdy hobby together 8).
