This is probably ancient news to most of you, but having not played for years upon years I didn't know a lot of this existed.

Thought it was nifty especially the top one I list here, and wanted to share for any other noobies like me.

The ones that really caught my eye that I didn't know about:

/chatfontsize (1-5) <--- I think a lot of people don't know this one cause I asked a few times since starting a few days ago and no one seemed to know about it.
/corpsedrag & /corpsedrop
/note (great for writing down a little information such as a /loc or someones name w/ out having to friend them etc)
/loot (if yours or a mobs corpse is hard to reach or stuck in a wall or w/e)

Complete list here:

Nop, I think it was in PoP when they put it, I remember dragging corpses with corpsedrag with my rogue in PoP

yeh I haven't tested /corpsedrag so no idea if it works on the server or not, probably not if it was POP.

Presuming I die today (almost w/ certainty) I'll try it :)

I disagree, I think

/chatfontsize (1-5)

Is like, the most amazing thing ever. I play on a huge Television and it absolutely destroys my eyes trying to read anything in the chat window in such a high resolution.

This absolutely made it SO much easier for me no more straining to read.

(Thank you Eldaran, I skimmed and missed it :P)

One day I was (apparently) rolling my face across the keyboard when I typed something along the lines of /ex<something> (maybe /execute?) by mistake and a huge list of directions appeared telling me the command was for executing a DOS/command line program from within EQ. It's purpose was to integrate third-party voice programs into the game.

I didn't mess with it at the time but it seemed kinda neat. I forgot about it until I read this thread

I still do it this way

/hotbutton Corpse 1 /corpse

Some people still have trouble with using the macro buttons for whatever reason...

I always tell them to use this command for summoning corpses. Auto creates the button for you =]

Ya, I didn't even know about /corpsedrag until a few minutes ago. I'll have to try this in game. It would be such an improvement over spamming /corpse (although not classic at all). But when you're a bard, its really easy to outdistance /corpse.

They disabled corpse drag here, since it wasn't classic iirc :(

This is the /system command which allows you to control parts of the computer through a command prompt (Pretty neat if you use itunes since you can make macros for next, pause, back, volume up and down, etc.)

output of the comand when typed in EQ is

**** THIS IS A POWER USER COMMAND. BE CAREFUL!
This command will allow you to execute a system command and pass arguments to it. This command can be used to control various external applications most notably voice communication software that relies on system commands to join channels and control other features without having to leave the game. Example: /system notepad c:\notes.txt

NOTE: EnableSystemCommand=1 must be set in the [default] section of EQCLIENT.INI to enable this command.

***** WARNING ***** THIS COMMAND PROVIDES THE SAME FUNCTIONALITY OF RUNNING THE COMMAND AT THE DOS PROMPT! BE VERY CAREFUL AND DO NOT USE THIS COMMAND UNLESS YOU FULLY UNDERSTAND WHAT IT IS FOR AND WHAT SYSTEM COMMANDS CAN DO IF ABUSED OR MISUSED!

Hmm the ones I actually use most that may not be well known are probably /tt, /rt, and /note. In my macros I use /stopsong, and /doability a lot. One of my favorite hotbuttons is probably my forage hotbutton.. make sure that forage is the first ability on your list and then:

/doability 1
/pause 2
/autoinv

Then just bind that to a movement key, so everytime you hit a movement key you will forage, and auto inventory what is on your cursor. Real time saved. :)
