(a) No county clerk nor deputy clerk shall issue a marriage license until the applicants make an application in writing, stating the names, ages, addresses and social security numbers of both the proposed male and female contracting parties and the names and addresses of the parents, guardian or next of kin of both parties. The application shall be sworn to by both applicants. Should either individual be incarcerated, the inmate shall not be made to appear but shall submit a notarized statement containing the name, age, current address and a name and address of the individual's parents, guardian or next of kin. If an applicant has a disability that prevents the applicant from appearing, the applicant may submit a notarized statement containing the person's name, age, current address and the names and address of the parents, guardian or next of kin.

(b) (1) If either applicant is under eighteen (18) years of age, the application shall remain on file, open to the public, in the office of the county clerk for three (3) full days before issuance of the license. No waiting period shall apply if both parents, the guardian or the next of kin of any minor applicant join in the application. No waiting period shall apply if both applicants are eighteen (18) years of age or over.

(2) If either applicant is under eighteen (18) years of age, immediately upon filing of the application, the county clerk shall cause to be sent by registered mail to the parents, guardian or next of kin of any minor applicant, a notice of the application. The provisions of this subdivision (b)(2) shall not apply if both parents, the guardian or the next of kin of any minor applicant join in the application.

(3) The parents, guardian or next of kin of an applicant may join in the application either by personal appearance before the county clerk or deputy county clerk, or by submitting a sworn and notarized affidavit.

Are they illegal? No, but a good employer should fire someone who continues to try to get in political or religious arguments with their co-workers

A teacher’s job is to educate, not socialize. It’s the kids job to socialize each other (not that they realize this, but it is), the teachers responsibility there is to do their best to make sure that socialization isn’t destructive to the child, such as extreme bullying. That’s it

My response is always “If you feel there is emotional abuse, you can contact CPS, and if they want to investigate and then determine the abuse warrants a severing of parent rights, I can talk to the kid then and coordinate with the CPS caseworker who becomes the new temporary guardian. Until then, I have to notify the parent and get a consent to treat”

The funny thing is, schools are mandated reporters but these SW’s who ask me to talk to students and claim “emotional abuse” as the reason, are still too lazy to file CPS reports. I am not the type to get them in trouble, but I could get them fired for disclosing that they knew of emotional abuse and only reported it to me and not CPS. I worked a few days in digital forensics. I could not do that job. You probably have an idea of the horrors out there. A sniper rifle and some drugs is nbd. At all. The reality is anything of value is mixed and encrypted with everything else horrible so even using those portals and tools is highly suspect and pretty much condeming.

I hope it does crash but I kinda don't know if it will anymore. I think if the government did start wiping out 10-50k in loans that would only further drive up asset prices like homes. Like imagine what would happen to the housing market if all those kids suddenly don't have to pay off loans and could instead put a down payment on a home.

I think at this point that any sort of government liquidity injection into the market will continue to drive people into either being rich or poor. The more UBI and handouts the government gives poor people the less buying power the middle class who have been saving money will have, and the more the upper class can charge for tangible stuff. I think paying off student loans will essentially be the same as them handing out unemployment checks and child tax credit checks.
