So I am seeing they are tougher than live pets. You can actually tank them at low levels so was curious, how high can you actually use dagger pets in soloing?

I've seen enchanters use their summon pet to solo seafurys.
Enchanter slow is strong. Plus they can haste their pet.
I think it's an underrated pet because people are so hyper focused on charming.

Honestly that's not even as far as the ench summon pet can be pushed.
Seafury would be a cakewalk... Let's look at some numbers for a level 49 enchanter.
https://wiki.project1999.com/Pet_Guide#Enchanter_Pets
lvl 49 pet, pet lvl 37-41, health 1800-2000, melee dmg 45-53*, bash/kick 22-24
Dual wield + Double Attack
So let's say no buffs... The pet double attacks (50+50) then dual wield attacks (50) and kicks (22). In that one combat round it just did 172 damage.
Let's buff the pet.... Swift Like The Wind(49) (https://wiki.project1999.com/Swift_Like_The_Wind) Increase Attack Speed by 60%
This means a buffed level 49 enchanter summon pet can kill a seafury in under 60 seconds. https://wiki.project1999.com/Seafury_Cyclops
Also let's slow the seafury, Shiftless Deeds(48) (https://wiki.project1999.com/Shiftless_Deeds) Decrease Attack Speed by ~50%
Let's say the seafury hits 85 * 2 and bashes 20. With 50% reduced attack speed that's technically only 95 damage per combat rounds.
It would take the seafury About 19-20 rounds to get through your pet.

You're still not convinced?
Cast Weakness (https://wiki.project1999.com/Weakness) on the seafury - Single Target Strength Debuff (Max: 65)
Cast Incapacitate (https://wiki.project1999.com/Incapacitate) on the seafury - -agi 55, -str 55, -ac 24
And
Cast Strengthen (https://wiki.project1999.com/Strengthen) on your pet - Single Target Strength Buff (Max: 10)
Cast Shadow (https://wiki.project1999.com/Shadow) on your pet - Single Target AC Buff (Max: 20)
Cast Feedback (https://wiki.project1999.com/Feedback) on your pet - Increase Damage Shield by 11
Cast Boon of the Garou (https://wiki.project1999.com/Boon_of_the_Garou) on your pet - lifetap combat proc, +atk 30, +dex 100
Your pet will be hitting for higher avgs, the seafury will be hitting for lower avgs.
All these buffs would be total overkill in my opinion, but I wanted to just lay out how overkill you can get.

lol ok ok you got me :)
I literally had no idea!
In original classic/vanilla enc pet actually had the highest DPS in the game for summoned pets. You could give them FS shorts sword and FS dagger and then hit them with swift. Mage pets couldnt even equip weapons for like 8-9 months, and necromancer haste was pretty crappy despite their pets hitting for more damage per hit.
They were and still are glass cannons, though, ad not being able to command them makes them a massive liability when doing anything challenging.
Edit: some of those stats baler posted are wrong.. the 49 pet only has around 1200 hp and max hits for 52 you'd never want to put the +10 str buff on it either because the berserker line will override it and you aren't gonna wanna blow gems on runing little Zoner.

The lower level pets feels FAR superior to what I remember on TZ in era.
I remember blue mobs being a real struggle in era for the 4-12 pets. On p1999 whites aren’t too challenging. Throw on a suit of tattered armour and a tarnished halberd it eve. pulps yellows. Idk if the pet’s atk or ac / avoidance is off (or if the mobs are the problem), but it don’t feel classic.

I sent enchanter pet raw HP numbers to the devs that I derived from NPC enchanter pets in the NPC-Zone-List-Level.xls sheet. I am not sure if they were out of whack on P99 but if they were, they might be adjusted in the next patch, whenever it comes.
In any case they are/will be era correct at least in hp. Maybe AC on live was less for them. Idk.
I saved the sheet in the archive with all the derivations and analysis I did if anyone is curious. There weren't any pets below level 15 in the sheet though:

I've solo'd the named cycle mobs and dispelling mobs in skyfire with the summoned pet before. Haste, DS, Slows, Debuffs, fear, Bedlam, boon.... its capable of more than you'd think.

TheRe is a huge power vacuum between 16 and 49. The last 2 pets are kinda strong because you can haste them and slow their enemies, and keep them alive with bedlam and rune. Can solo named this way if no charm is available

I pulled the health number straight off the wiki. So im not saying it's correct or incorrect ;)

Furthermore
seems to be capping at 52 damage on Green/Teal in Classic
The wiki is for blue, red And green. If 52 is the cap on green great but this is the blue forum section :) So please be careful with information you spread just because it is one way on one server, doesn't mean it wont change in the future.

Not sure why any enc lvl 55+ should be using a summon pet..

Because it’s fun to switch things up and have a super tanky pet that is capable of killing plenty of nameds while being able to sit back and relax not having to worry about breaks 24/7.

Summoned pet has plenty of benefit, but use is situational as always.

dagger pets used to be the meta before kunark cuz haste + two fast daggers = mobs just die instantly especially HG or SG
but that was nerfed about 6 months or so into classic give or take 3 months either direction
