I'm highly annoyed by this, but no so annoyed that I can't see the humor in it. I figured I would share it because you may also find it funny.

First a little backstory: I had been camping chancellor for my prod (only piece I've needed for over a month now, I've been refusing to camp it due to the absolutely terrible line rule change that went into effect) since about 8am in the morning, even setting my alarm on my day off to log in because I figured that the morning would be the best time. Well that assumption turned out to be incorrect, because I was going to have to wait until around 9pm for my shot at the chancellor. I found out that afk camping was allowed so I figured it wouldn't be all that bad since I had a ton of shit to get done today I could just try to check back every 4 hours when he was due to pop to make sure someone hadn't afk'd on their turn, and do chores/play LoL during the downtime. The problem arose when my friends from highschool who were visiting me this weekend told me that they would be arriving at about 8pm. Being the all around awesome dude and gracious host that I am, I decided that I would take them out for a few hours and that I could teach my fiancee the simple methodology of clicking on a monster to "target" it, and then "clicking the spell bar to start and stop songs". I thought it would be easy.. boy was I wrong. :(

If she'd twisted better she still would have still died. Her problem was that she didn't cast charm at the beginning to kill off the pet, and didn't cast snare or selo's to avoid being melee'd to death (nor mez to interrupt spells, but with level 56 resists this is less important).

...No, not really. It's actually very easy since pretty much everyone is keyed already. Every time I get asked to help key someone it takes 30 minutes tops for both pieces.

There are.. kind of.

It's a huge instanced zone dedicated only to house lots. There are ~60ish lots per instance, and probably 50+ instances total.

I thought it was cool at first, but realistically there isn't any reason to go to your house...I decorated mine outside nicely, but then I realized all my neighbors didn't do squat, so it looked like we were in the ghettos =p

They could have implemented more reasons to go to the houses, such as being camping off there for more than 10 hours awards 1 AA point a day.

In the end, though, your limited to what you can place there. It's not really very sims-like. The actual house you place on your yard is also an instance. And, pretty much all the houses are the exact same.

This sounds exactly like what the DAOC housing expac Foundations implemented. Only useful thing there was the housing merchant system, so it made it somewhat useful.
