proposal:

- 2 hours before drusella pop, everyone /ran 1000. top 4 highest rolls "win the camp"

- the 4 highest roller then decide if they want to loot and split the proceeds, or do another /ran 1000 if an urn drops

- why 2 hours before? to allow the 4 winners sufficient time to swap toons (if they need puller, CCer, cleric etc) and clear the room. i was considering 1 hour but it might be too short and drusella might spawn and be left up, moving her repop time further and further back

- like ring 8, after every Quake, the group that kills drusella should post the TOD and the roll time is set at 2 hours before that TOD.

- minimum level 55 to roll (else you will be kinda useless in the camp) (can also consider minimum lv 51 as that's the minimum level required to do herald telcha turn in?)

- camp goes FFA if drusella is left up for more than 30 minutes after pop

- if one of the 4 camp winners go afk for more than 30 mins / in general does not contribute significantly to the camp/fight, then he/she can be voted out. (i want to eliminate free-riders. anyone has a better idea? i feel like if you are one of the 4, you would be 100% focused on the camp for that 2 hours anyway but just in case...)


the idea above will eliminate 12 hours drusella camp, democratize the camp a bit, while still allowing for effort to be put in (you still need to clear the room actively for 2 hours). so the loot isnt just given to you for free...

The game feels fun through about HighKeep goblins then it really hits the shitter. So level 30ish then reroll or you have a mental disability

We need some sort of plan. I don’t think 4 people with highest rolls splitting it is it though. That will create too much dispute. It should be like the ring 8 roll. You win and you bring your crew. If you don’t kill it within a certain time you skip 3 rolls and it is free game until the next roll.

best option is have the quest recoded to give you a box that you have to combine the ring+urn+sinew and hand the queen the box, she gives you cords and a new ring back, removes people from the equation that are just camping DS to sell the urn for MQ

Great idea but too much work. They’re not going to recode anything.

Show up two hours before spawn (since tougher to get to and kill then ring 8, so 30 minutes is not sufficient).

If you do not make a good faith attempt to kill it within 30 minutes of spawn you are disqualified. Anyone can now kill it and that person (for not making a good faith effort, I.e., going back and dying with friends) is disqualified for 4 weeks.

Also, the good faith attempt could be changed to “you did not kill it within 30 mins of spawn,” but that might be too harsh as someone could try and fail and they should not necessarily be punished I think.

People would just do what they do for stormfeather and sell the loot rights. It solves nothing.

The camp really does suck. The big issue with a random and 2 hour system is that since Urn is a hot ticket Plat farming MQ, LOTS of people would still show up and then pretty much afk. Realistically, 10+ people would show up each time. The mobs would die in 5 minutes, and then people will go afk. Maybe even wipe. And that creates a lot of shit that the GM's will have to moderate.

Pained Soul is a worse camp though. At least at Drusella you can bring a level 58 or 59 and pretend your exping for a few hours. Pained Soul is often 10 hours of camping a green mob. (If you're not just semi afk on a pet class- I wouldn't know, I will NEVER camp pained soul)


I can't think of any great solutions though. That camp turns people in animals. It's also kind of annoying that you have to keep all of the golems cleared or else people come pestering you. The first time I ever tried camping DS, We killed PHs, I went to the bathroom, came back and someone was pulling my camp. AlL ThE PhS WeRe UP thOugH... (i'm a long pooper) I just left in disgust.

It's a piece of best in slot gear though. The only thing I can come up with is make the URN and urn only non-MQable. So then, at the very least, only people who need it for their own toon will camp it, VS the plat lottery that it is now.

people would prob just sell the loot rights, tbh. for better or worse, a first-in-time is first-in-right FFA camp is prob the actually best way to determine who gets to kill any given Drusella.
