Bear Pits Druid Bind Technique

Just died 4 times trying to bind myself in Permafrost bear pits. I've done it 40 times in the past and never had an issue. Today, when I attempted to jump down into pits and bind, the giants no longer take the long route around, they go straight through the walls.

This video is the technique I use to bind down in the pits. Has a mechanic in the game changed? I'm curious if anyone else has had an issue recently?

What why would you do that? Just root them up top and camp after you fall down.

They're belly casters, and the first set of giants you pass is a 3-pull. Not to mention you pass a spider, and then usually another giant caster. Rooting them and jumping down has always been far more difficult. The run and gun technique in the video used to be extremely easy to do, I never had an issue, but it seems the pathing has changed and may not longer be possible.

Yeah pathing was *fixed* awhile ago (it made giants get stuck in the ceiling) and the most recent patch *fixed* that behavior as well (now stuff just warps fully through walls everywhere). I usually only find 1 or 2 giants that see invis if you get unlucky and a bunch see invis i just killl them.

The best/easiest technique is to bring a few friends and fight your way down ... and then just stick around after the group leaves. But this of course requires friends, which soloing druids often lack.

Actually, I guess the real best way is to get some friends to do the camp first, before you get there ... and have them bring a CotH Mage with them :)

i did it just fine solo 56 druid about 2 weeks ago

might be pathing as you make your way to the pit fall...

bring a charged WC cap...keep re-charging it until it works
