Discord voice is odd - People that can type like a normie apparently only talk with an incoherent string of swears. It means you can’t do shared screen time with family - either you squelch the room with bad language or you wear headphones and isolate yourself from the room. Neither works.

Personally i prefer information be transmitted other both media. Voice instructions can be more apparent, but text can be scrolled back to. Plus allow muting angry sweary raid leaders.

Discord text works okay as a chat room, but doesn’t have the searchable / archive or thread advantages to the degree that forums do. I much prefer the prosperity of forums for that.
