Can't turn the sky off?

I did some searching and found a thread from 2019 where someone was asking about this as well, but there was no good answer as to why that person's option to turn the sky off wasn't there as well.

they were told from people here that there should be an option on the top right of the display section of alt+o options to turn sky from simple to complex to off. And that's exactly how I remember it back in the day as well.

I however don't have this option? Was it removed from p99 for some reason, or what can I do to disable it? It's just how I played back in the day and I love the black sky from it.

It is in the Advanced Video Options.

It isn't though. Not for me. Of course I checked advanced video options. It's not there. Would you please provide a screenshot? Because people keep saying this, but I think that's just where they imagine it is. I cannot get a solid answer about this.

there are some things the p99 staff have blocked/disabled changes to, in order to preserve the classic environment as they see it.

I think Sky=2 (in your eqclient.ini) means complex sky. Simple is 1, and Off is 0. You can try changing that, but if it's like Baler says it'll revert back to 2 if the staff have overridden those changes.

Weird ya it isn't there. The ini version should work as all the options do is make modifications to the eqclient.ini in most cases.

just to be clear my remark was regarding the in game options window. Another example is the EQ button that some ask about. It could be possible via ini
