Monks:

High-level monks can now carry increased weight without penalty. The
additional allowance is granted at levels 55 and 60.

If i calculated correctly this will be in about 2 months in the P1999 timeline? Correct me if I'm wrong please. Does anyone know what the limits at this point will be ?

Monk weight allowance has been increased. Every 15 levels monks will get an extra 1 stone weight allowance. The post 50 weight allowance has also been increased by 2 stone.

Level 15, Limit 15
Level 30, Limit 16
Level 45, Limit 17
Level 51, Limit 18
Level 55, Limit 20
Level 60, Limit 24

This leads me to believe it will be 18 on level 55, and 22 on level 60. Can anyone confirm/deny this ?

bump~ will look into this a bit today/tonight for the infos.

Also, WTB proper AC display in game. AC doesn't move or reflect actual AC once under 24wt now.

That would be a result of the last patch I believe:

Kanras: Monk weight limit reduced to 14 for all levels.

Yeah, I'm aware of that. But they also said that there's an issue with client side info vs. server side info. Apparently there is no fix (confirmation?), and thus now way to truly know your AC value....which sucks...a lot.

There's your worn AC and actual AC, one of which was NEVER reported to the player via the UI. If you're referring to the AC drops that occur once you go over the weight limit those should be working unless the UI has crapped out and doesn't want to work with the server side values.

That's the client doing its own calculation. They can't control that.

Everything in OP is correct.

So with next patch, limits will be 18 at 55, and 22 at 60?

Wrote it up yesterday, so I imagine so.

Kanras could you maybe elaborate some on monk weight limits? This always confused me because while you could gain a ton of AC using a heavy item like Tree Weave it wasn't easy to figure out if sacrificing all that weight hurt in the long run or what kind of impact it ended up having. I mean I know you lose AC but if you were wearing high AC items that put you over the weight limit whats the trade off?

Dont believe your UI.

Also dont think you're smarter than the 50+ intelligent people who worked out the BiS items by expansion on monkley business. And the 10's of thousands of monks who didnt wear tree weaves as they know its a shit idea.

I'm not saying they're wrong, just going off the numbers my UI tells me at one point when I was playing a monk I swapped out high AC heavy gear for low-medium AC weightless gear like wu's armor and from what my UI was telling me my AC went down as a result.

I know people don't wear heavy items on monks for good reason, I'm just confused as to why this has always been one aspect of monks that is confusing. Like if someone completely new to class starting playing they would be lost on the subject and for good reason.

There are times where, if you're RIGHT at the limit, you can be overweight with more AC, depending on the item. But you have to also consider that as soon as you loot some pp or something, that'll probably be negated.

On this server though, it's a huge issue, since the UI is no longer reporting things accurately, people can't make those adjustments themselves. I'd rather, given the situation we're in, make the server match what the UI says, but whatever.
