www.xfire.com/live_video/somenoobwithce/

Streaming most of the day from 9am - 9pm if i'm actively on. Streaming is of a Dark Elf Cleric at the low levels.

This stream is not meant to show skill, or gear, or anything like that. It is mainly there to get people to check out the server on Xfire and see someone playing EQ. The room description on Xfire says this is a free server and gives a link to the website. If you have friends who are doubting coming here, let them know about the stream and they can swing in and take a look. (when it is live)

Enjoy

was wondering when we'd start seeing streams pop up.

this took forever and a day to load btw (simply to find you're offline no less), i'd consider using a different stream service.

Stream runs fine for my computer... not sure what's up. I'll see if I can tinker with it a bit help those with slower comps or what not.

Disabled audio since that was not going through for some reason anyways. Also made sure, stream is set for highest bandwidth. Restarting it to see if that helps.

On an interesting note, I don't remember Freeport guards being threatening to an Agnostic Dark Elf Enchanter. I seem to remember them being dubious. Oh well.

this thread sucks, also no one wants to see some shitty cleric leveling up, omg he meditated for 5 minutes then casted light healing, cant wait to see him level up to healing.

I just think the idea is cool - not so much watching for like 5+ minutes.

And yeah, it was a little laggy/jumpy.

Not sure how to fix that then, it's not my CPU, may be the stream service, I dunno. Suggestions would be nice.

stream seems better now?

Cfullard

I really think it comes and goes.
Not sure how to get this better but... meh. I do believe I will be streaming just all the places in the world, making characters to level 4 and such then moving on to a new one. Leveling them slowly to show the places.

Can we get some live streams of Rogean hard at work? Would be neat-o.

Loaded up your stream to see you die to a guard, then the stream went offline =/

Took me ~5 seconds to load. Get a new isp.

Not sure which stream you loaded, I haven't died to any guards.

My ISP has nothing to do with your stream not loading, if the stream is loading slow then it's YOUR isp, not mine.

Thanks for sharing.

The stream is loaded by Xfire, and then pushed through Livestream. Think on that for a second then get back to me on MY isp being the problem behind your computer loading the stream slowly.

Rogean hard at work consists of:

8 computers
33 different folders open
610 lines of code read an hour
3005 petitions to look over

There must be room for training there, none of those numbers are over 9000 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SiMHTK15Pik). He needs more super sayan.

EDIT: On a sidenote, its actually fairly difficult to find a simple "over 9000" clip on youtube, so much edit/remix garbage to filter through.

Is there a quick and dirty guide to setting one of these up? I'd like to start a stream to link to my friends to get them to sign up.

e: the stream will me fear kiting different colored giants all around the world

Uh, he wasn't telling you to get a new ISP. He was responding directly to the quoted post he was referencing

Yeesh! I logged on and it was right at the part where you were bending down repeatedly in front of a sitting Troll. In the 3rd person view, it looked like you were involved in some sick sex show. (you were I guess bandaging him).
Then the sick "sex show" got crazier as an ogre joined in with the "bandaging".. Made me laugh!

I watch my friend play League of Legends on xfire pretty often and it is smooth, but he has it set to a lower quality. The high quality that you have looks good but it seems like it is choppy. I haven't messed with it too much but my friend had that issue running it in high quality with his streams and tried to lower it a little and it improved. Some ISP upstreams don't have as much bandwidth and it might be causing it. Just a friendly suggestion.

I think it is cool that you are streaming for people to check out. It is the only Everquest (1) live stream that is up too so if anyone is looking to find one they'll see yours.

Right, gonna drop it down to Higher then.

Dalthos

It is running a bit better now. Gets a tiny choppy once in a while but for the most part its a good speed now.

This is so meta - on the stream I'm watching you explain to someone how to make xfire work. And now it just went offline. That was actually pretty fun to watch.

That was me! Too bad I'm going to be off line the next 2 weeks. It would be fun to show all the people live, who exploits, an asshole, and who all cybers me because I play a female monk.

But I like the set up.

The stream works fine for me. I see you went back to the cleric!

Cfullard
06-02-2011, 10:56 PM
Yeah my logic behind going back to the cleric is - Everyone plays DPS because they want to see big numbers. I actually enjoy healing, and actually heal when i'm in a group instead of do like the one cleric that was in my group and melee... and pull too it seemed. So since the server can always use more healers, I figured why not do what I like? I may plan an enchanter on the side but for now, cleric.
