Getting the client crashed message often when zoning. Or I freeze on zoning and/or it takes insanely long for the client to zone.

Yes I have WinEQ2.
Yes I have disabled the loading art.
Yes I am running as administrator.
Yes I am running in Windows XP Compatibility Mode Service Pack 3.
I have strong internet connection (WiFi) and it extremely rarely has any issues.

On my mac with Windows 7, I previously had found a fix on the P99 forums which basically had me running EQ directly off the eqgame.exe and manually editing a file to change the server host IP (i think, i'm not super technical). I got a new computer with Windows 10 and quad core processor (Lenovo Legion 5). In the past, this fix helped me enormously and almost eliminated crashing while zoning. Somehow the Titanium shortcut isn't allowing me to run it as administrator.

I have been looking for many many hours to find the fix that had helped me previously, but cant find it anywhere on these forums.

Does anyone have a link to this fix somewhere or any recollection of it? Super weird that I can't find it anywhere when I know I did it and I have several friends who also had to use that fix.

I found that in order for my compatibility settings in Windows 10 to register I had to go to properties -> compatability tab -> and then hit the button on the bottom with the UAC symbol "change settings for all users" and then setting to run in Windows XP SP2 mode as administrator worked.
Also seen problems with 5G causing crashes while zoning or trouble logging in. You can change the frequency from 5ghz to 2.4ghz in device settings for your wireless card. iirc I went from 802.11 a/b/g to just b/g
Good luck!

It's probably your wifi even if you can stream just fine and have great speed tests. Wifi will drop and retransmit packets often and that is what causes log in server issues and disconnects when zoning. I would try a wired connection to rule out wifi. If it still happens then your isp could be dropping packets or has some sort of packet inspection/shaping along the route.
