Have you ever been apologetically screwed over on P99 Green?

For the most part people on P99 Green go out of their way to be helpful and pleasant. Every once in a while, though, you run into someone who is clearly only out for team #1. Tonight, I got to experience the most flagrant of example of someone screwing over other players and not giving a single fuck.

I was farming seb ent / scarabs for almost 8 hours this evening and was about to log off when a couple <Seal Team> folks zoned in. My game does a /w query every time I press a button as a relic from my time on red (wipe please) so I'm usually pretty aware of who is in the zone. Anyhow, a few minutes after the <Seal Team> folks zoned in, the fungi King and a bunch of his friends appear in the scarab camp. They promptly wiped that group and then proceeded to wipe my group farming the ent.

The "apologetically screwed over" part kicks in here. These folks (Dazzling and Maati) took zero responsibility for their actions and did nothing to help recover the groups they had wiped. I watched in amazement as they zoned back in and ran over our dead corpses to get back to their camp without offering to lend a hand. Maati at least had the decency to weakly decline any responsibility because of 'bugs' but Dazzling strait up ignored all communication and pretended like they didn't just cause 8 people to die and spend 30 minutes dragging and rezzing.

Does anyone else have any stories to share where other players have screwed you over and done nothing to help fix the situation?

its not a beneficial exploit heh. It is more like a glitch. If you fight the king in the teleport room down there, when he goes to flee at low hp sometimes he runs into the wall and warps up into frenzy pox room instead of out of the room toward jail or into shrooms area. My group has lost a fungi king and has also gotten a free fungi king at frenzy pox room this way. GM was called in both cases and the ruling for both was that if you lose the king and someone else kills it and gets the loot its theirs.

I spent ALOT of time at Fungi king during early kunark, and have seen on rare occasion when trying to split him off the tower sometimes instead of him dropping into the water he and his 2 guards up on the tower will just warp straight up into frenzy pox room, which is what I am guessing happened here. They did not intend to warp him into frenzy pox room, I can promise you, especially since I dont think you can intentionally do it anyways. They were probably in a rush to get back down there and kill him before someone else did, which is why they didn't help everybody CR first before going back down to kill him. Not saying they shouldn't have helped CR people but I understand why they didn't, but I highly doubt it was an intentionally malicious tactic.

If he doesn't know this he hasn't spent much time in seb. OP should direct his complaints to Haynar or whatever his name is who screwed the pathing that used to be fine.

Seb is fun on red. A number of players have multiple ToV geared rogues camped out there. Bring a primal toon or don't even zone in.

Fungi king has done this since kunark came out and your just now coming to complain seems like old news in a zone no body barley goes to now with Velious. Pretty safe to assume they figured you knew or figured no one was in the zone. Not even sure what you expect non clerics to do for you its not like they can rez you. Part of the inherent danger of seb or even playing EQ, is that you go in and might die some where tough right? Risk vs reward right? If they were down by king that means they would of give up their camp to what be able to do nothing for you? Then get back to the camp? I'm really unsure frankly of what you expected them to do for you.

For the record, since the latest change to kings/2 trash on the podium, it's entirely possible to pop those mobs up to NG by complete accident just trying to pull/split king. It sounds like you were at NG, so you got trained by a glitch, not those players. Also the logs that were posted show that on top of that, they were willing to rez you guys.

Now if they were popping king up to NG to try and solo pull... that's a different story. But it's very possible and likely that they didn't do it on purpose.

Yeah that sounds rough and frustrating. I have also had bad experiences with seal team, so i call them steal team sometimes. Once i waited 3 hours to get a bear pits camp, cleared the room and waited for repops so i stepped away 5 minutes to let some bears spawn and fix timers. A 60 Druid on st came in with someone he was afk-PLing and started killing the bears of my camp. When i got back, i explained i stepped away for a few minutes and had just gotten the camp and was fixing the spawn timers to space them out. He ignored me and just kept saying “server rules” “quit crying”, etc. so i left because it wasn’t worth the drama. But he was incredibly rude and didn’t care anything i had to say. A lot of members have been openly arrogant and rude in my experience, but there’s a lot of good members too. Although the longer the server goes, the less communication i have with the cool members because it’s a bit like a cult and members don’t really help people outside their guild or socialize, so i just avoid them. This isn’t the only bad experience I’ve had, but I’ll leave it at that.

They tend to have them because they attract the people who want to feel important because they are in the biggest baddest guild on the server. And because they're in that guild they think they're untouchable.

I think it's less that they don't police their members and more that people just don't actually take the time to demonstrate proof. I've seen ST kick people before when someone has shown them proof of someone doing messed up stuff. I think it's hard for ST to just take people at their word because you have situations like the one in this thread where there's an accident and someone immediately blames ST as though they meant to do it.

I had the opposite experience few months ago.

Exactly same thing happened, seal team trying to kill king, he warps to Ng and wipe us.

ST offered help and rezzed us.
