I think there is definitly a future for NFT, a crypto currency, and an in game or gaming market place (like epic/steam) economy.

The value of plat on blue has remained stable for like 10 years, that's insane.

No new expansions. No new content. Nothing but a black box player run economy.

Im sure there are ways that it would'nt work and it'd be easy to be like "game the system!" but the same could be said for anything so shutup.

You have entrenched big companies that are effectively the central bank of the MMO. They don't want to compete with players. But I think that over time, out of games that have economies (like MMOs) players will gravitate towards ones with more of a player-driven market via NFTs tied to in-game items, etc.

I think 'pay to win' and RMT is trash, but in any game where players can trade items and items matter... you will have it -_-

Back on topic. The future looks bright. Metaverse, with all in-verse (as in metaverse) assets tokenized for easy trading, all experienced in VR. Gonna be sweet.

MMO NFTs are inevitable. Frankly, I'm surprised we haven't seen a mainstream studio develop an MMO with it yet. Yes, I'm aware of Decentraland. :)
