Huuuge gap down to Luddo, Snacks and a few others, at times Furoar on this level. But adriana and Quean just are better by so far it isnt even a comparison.

I’m not gonna say fur single handedly killed both AM and Riot… but like… it’s pretty close to single handedly killed the two biggest Zerg guilds perhaps EverQuest not even p99 has ever seen. That’s gotta count for something.
Phatez and Aikons id probably have to say we’re better slightly at raid leading but probably not better players. Snackies is great. Capi is great. Get some I didn’t get to experience too much as he barely used his mic in AM. Eratani was good. Kelz obviously one of the best.
Phatez and Furoar are probably 1A and 1B goats of p99. I think you have to give phatez 1A because he raid leaded and play maked in pretty much every #1 guild on blue, and then of course created Seal Team which dominated literally p99 greens entire fucking lifespan.

^This guy was one of the best I played with on Red99. Strut taught me to start casting Gate while high in the sky, then click off Levitate to fall straight down so opponents couldn't interrupt me, and because my X, Y didn't change, the spell would go off every time.
One time Strut and someone else were ganging up on an enemy SK. They knew the SK would simply Harm Touch himself at low HP to deny them the server-wide yellow text for getting the kill. Strut, with his inside-out mind, cast a Rune on the enemy SK to absorb most of the damage of the HT. The guy HT'd himself, failed to die, and Strut and his buddy got the yellow text.

This game is super easy you all need to play some actually mechanically challenging games. Also the use of GINA completely trivializes the game. Using it for timers for spells, skills, refresh durations, etc... all things you should have to "Feel" or know through experience and the use of your own intuition about your class and other class spells being used. Laughable.

I was a pro counter strike player (with proof, can link my esea) and also play Dota in the “very high skill” bracket (4k and counting, 12-3 in the latest patch) (also played HoN at a semi pro level) (Also was top 100 on leaderboards in pubg, NHL 2009, and Madden 2005) (also went from silver 2 to immortal 3 in a week in a half when I started playing valorant)
Also I almost never use Gina because that voice is so damn annoying.
There are a lot of things in EverQuest that I could teach literally anyone to do. I tried getting my friend Steph into EQ, and let her play my rogue in an Guild HoT raid for her very first experience playing the game, where she was top DPS after 5 minutes. She also played CS at a higher level than most. However, there are many aspects of raiding EQ/doing insane solo and duo camps that require mechanical skill and… rather intense game knowledge due to the behavior of such an old game and how it’s mechanics work.
Hope my credentials suite your opinions

I got a funny story about nybras. When I was in a casual guild named paradox we would sometimes let nybras tag along for our "raids" if he was bored, he would come to hate/fear/royals with us. One time at royals were fighting queen but not enough people were alive to push her gate (we were casual, most of the people didnt understand dipping in and out of her song aoe). So she gates, trains her whole room since we solo pulled her. Nybras was with us, with a charm pet of course. The train comes, wipes all of us but somehow this motherfucking Nybras guy Solo's 50% queen HP with his pet and a whole train of like 9 royal mobs on him (since some pulled from kings room too) on him. When youre not prepared to do something like that and do it anyways, its what sets a really good enchanter apart from a decent one imo. Probably the best play I've seen that wasn't like a big raid target.

Nybras was incredible. He tagged along for some of TSS first raids. He always wanted to try some crazy shit and i was glad to abide. I could sit here and type out incredible moments we had together all night. Fun on a bun. Miss that guy.
However for me personally, and ofcourse this isnt someone hardly anyone would know, but its worth the time to mention, in my 5 years of leading TSS by far the most impressive player is a Dark Elf Cleric Name Kallaar.
A cleric you say?
Yes. This man plays from Taiwan. He speaks no English. He in fact has to translate anything we type to him. He has learned to be a master at any class he plays and often over the years he would pre-emptively be making raid moves, before we had even mentioned them in voice, much less typed to him. There are many examples but I will go way back to one of the first times i noticed how incredible he was.
Way back in 2018, Veloci Shift and The Second Sons raided PoS together every Thursday. None of the raid leaders from the alliance had much experience in PoS and we basically stumbled through in a pretty classic progression through the shit show of Plane of Sky. We learned about the encounters from week to week as we progressed.
After a few weeks we managed to finally get to Island 4. We ended the raid a few weeks in a row with full wipes/ass kicking to the Overseer of Air. TSS/VS did not make it past island 4 for a long time. After a few weeks of very close calls on OOA, one night we got him OOA down to pretty close but were losing people very quickly and called for a camp in voice.
Kallaar with out instruction or communication came up with the plan to Heal the charmed enchanter pet from island 3 instead of the tanks. We had someone FD calling it out in team speak in real time as it went down. Kallaar focused on the Horse pet and when everyone was dead it was horse vs OOA and kallaar kept it alive long enough for the OOA to beat himself to death on enrage. An absolute eruption from teamspeak as we heard this called out from a FD person commentating. A seriously inspiring and epic moment considering he had come up with the plan all on his own.
He has continued to impress us with his English (2) Strategy (255) gameplay.

Red 99 represent:
The original <Friends> crew - Salem, Queen, Slathar, Twerk, Brainz, Coat, Jibeknn. These guys split off from a competitive guild of 30 (call me crazy, but grats Sektors!), while a guild of 50 ruled Red during Kunark, and created a legitimate contender for PvE content through aggressive PvP. It was an honor to play with them as long as I managed to. Truly legendary.

Ya, Glitch was definitely the OG enchanter that pushed the class boundaries. Also, pretty sure Loraen himself credits Save with teaching him a lot. All 3 of them really good players, but Loraen just built upon what others had done before him. He definitely deserves some credit for popularizing it by posting videos to youtube though... sure a lot of people learned a lot from that.

The old IB/Rampage members pushed boundaries and created a meta that EQ hadn't seen before. Hoku was a good leader, but Getsome as a player was next level. Keg's planning and prep work was also incredible for a game like EQ. People often complained we cheated or whatever but honestly we just figured things out first.

LOL I remember this one. Good times. Hmmm I wasn't here in the glory days, but Mjrn stands out to me. He's really good. Obviously so was Zarza. Then there's Monrezz, Joey, Capi...

no one gonna mention raev or diamondfist or breaken?
You know Raev is the same person as Loraen, who was mentioned a few posts earlier, right?
I actually always think of him as an enchanter first, but it was really interesting to watch him start playing monk after playing enchanter for so many years.
Of the A-Team crew, I actually thought Save and Mauricewhite (Pasi (https://www.project1999.com/forums/member.php?u=14916)) were the best enchanters. Mauricewhite seemed to have some of the most overall knowledge of EQ compared to anyone else I interacted with.
Looking at recent player things I've seen in videos, Liia has done some really impressive solo stuff across multiple classes.
Not that I know them well, but reading stuff about PVP/training in VP on Blue, Necrious and Sentenza were the names I always heard thrown out the most.
In terms of nicest prominent players in the raid scene, I always thought Hokushin, Franswa, Eabon, and Zagum were pretty great. I'd always want to play under leadership I knew had integrity or were genuinely nice people.
In terms of knowledge of helping this project develop (if that's a worthwhile category), Ele and Daldaen did an absurd number of mechnanics/bug reporting in the earlier phases of this project.

I've seen a lot of good play makers in the time I played. Necrious stands out in my mind during Kunark. A lot good pullers in the unrooted dragons era.
I will say that Rampage leadership in early Velious was superb. Several guilds started on pretty even footing with the launch of an expansion but Rampage went on to clean house.
Anyone doubting Loraen/Raev's monk skills has never seen the man juggle between a 2 hander and fist like a mad man to min/max dps. He was really a genius at creating and explaining new techniques/strategies. On top of that, he was one of the best guild leaders this servers ever had.

I agree until that last line, however he came up with a lot of strats, including how ring wars are done now while helping rustle. He was a bit too much sometimes, well lot of times tho.

Back during the VP train wars, I'd be looking for and dragging corpses back for rezzes. I was pretty good at it. I could live through almost any train dropped on me by flipping H/S back on real quick after getting AEed. I wasn't scared of anyone. Necrious terrified me. Whenever I saw him coming, I knew I was about to die.

Too many to list, but a lot of them were in TMO during their reign of terror. If you were never involved in the fiasco that was pre-nerf VP, you'll just never truly know... it's almost unfathomable. Some big players involved in that shit-show have already been named numerous times however, and that's not just TMO players, FE and some others had some legit players.

I don't remember the guy's name, but ~2 years back there was a 59 or 60 enchanter duoing with a 59 cleric in Howling Stones, who let me tag along on my necro as they cleared West over and over.
This enchanter was a machine. He was pulling the entire wing in 2-3 giant pulls, and it was just nonstop butt-clenching carnage, with 10 or more mobs constantly aggroed on us at any one time for a couple hours straight with zero downtime.
I've gotten a necro to 60 and an enchanter to 60 and seen a decent amount of people doing their thing solo, in duos, and in groups, but I've never seen anyone else that impressed me so much with what they were able to pull off.

I agree with most of this list, although a bit old school (I don't know many newer top players though). Definitely Save and Liia are my top. Mauricewhite (pasi) is an encyclopedia of Velious mechanics and an incredible player too.

A few other guys on red that I payed with that were great at pushing buttons in correct order, Loudog comes to mind because he was the last guy I grouped with. He knows how to push buttons.
I think it depends on what skillset you're looking for. Some people are better encyclopedia of raid scenarios than others.
