I have reason to believe I have been horribly hacked. I had an account on green I had been playing up until today. the account name was "decoder_64" and I am sure of this because I have an email from this forum confirming my account name.
So, I crashed earlier today, and closed EQ and started up again to log back in. I tried my password, and it failed. I tried several iterations, maybe different caps, maybe I hit a wrong key. Nothing worked.
So I come to the forum to log in. Again, no password works. I submit a request to change my password. The forum asks for the email to send the PW request to. I entered my email, which has the conformation email from when I started on green. The forum says the email has been sent, but the email itself never receives a password exchange email. I tried a few times, no email. The email address in question is "thedarkage@live.com".
So then I tried to create a SECOND account on this forum with a DIFFERENT email, to post here and ask for help. I go through the registration process, to the point where it sends a conformation email to my other email address. Again, no emails are being received from this forum, even at this DIFFERENT email address.
I am typing this now, at a different COMPUTER, with a new ACCOUNT, having started a different EMAIL ADDRESS. Registering a new account worked here at this computer, i imagine, because some kind of hack is preventing communication between green server and this forum, to my computer.
The first thing I would like admins to do, is please, lock/pause/quarantine my EQ account with the account name of "decoder_64". I am sure there are many historical facts about my account admins could ask me about that I can remember and discuss with any admin, in order to get my account back. I am hoping I have not been hacked so bad that my entire account has been deleted or something.
Second, if possible, send emails to my associated email account for my profile, to discuss and or look into ways for me to be able to get my account back. I suspect there may be problems, so please also send an email to the email of this account I am writing with, and/or post what I should do on this thread. Remember, I am on a different computer, on a different account, on a new email address. I suspect the only way to get my account back, is to have admins look at things on my account, and ask me questions about it that only I the original player would know. I might refrain from responding at my computer, since it appears to be compromised. Any and all help would be appreciated.
