My spells_us file is wrong somehow?

just downloaded the game, got it all set up identical to my friend who also just started and is currently playing, but when i try to log into the server it says my spells_us file is incorrect is there a quick fix or do i gotta redownload?

Did you apply the Project 1999 Patch Files found at the top of the home page (https://www.project1999.com/index.php)?
