High elf or human for sure. They have the best fashion sense in the entire game. If you're playing this game religiously everyday and still don't look good, you're doing something wrong.

Pretty much how I feel, plus my favorite looking race. I would play iksars without any of the racial bonuses and still happily pay the 20% penalty.

I got EQ literally on launch day in 1999, but couldn't play until 2 days later because their server infrastructure was dogshit but that's okay.

I've still never rolled an iksar ever, except once so I could check out the layout of cabilis for a quest on my actual real character.

Big fan of dark elves. Sexy and sinister. My first character ever back in 1999 was a high elf paladin that I rerolled into a dark elf shadowknight. Hearing that Lodge of the Dead music in Neriak just made me want to embrace the evil.

If my character isn't a dark elf, it's something that at least kisses up to the dark elves. A troll or an Innoruuk following human usually. Even went as far as to test factions (https://www.project1999.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3281707&postcount=10) to make sure an iksar necromancer would be fine in all parts of Neriak.

Most people think iksars look cool. Its very 2020 to say their animations are "weird" no one ever gave a shit, and liked being a fucking monster lizard godzilla killa

Plus they were the NEW race and a lot of people started with Kunark expansion like "this game just keeps getting better, no better time than now to buy it and play a NEW RACE"

I voted halfling but my first race was a woodelf and kelethin is my favorite city my real soul character is a woodelf ranger.

The ‘new’ wolf textures broke iksar animations. Many of the custom hifi texture pack mods will fix this.

I don’t have a great eye for detail so I never realised the iksar animations were broken until it was shown to me via gif.
