You don't gotta be a necro or druid to solo OOT ancient cyclops.

If you're a warrior / rogue / or some other class, camp AC placeholders in OOT, AC spawns = ask someone from seafury island to help you with the kill. Or if no one in the zone, ask someone in a nearby zone like the commonlands or a wiz or druid in a far away location to help you with the OOT spawned AC kill.

OOT AC = 3500hp / 123dmg.

SRO (gotta log-in every 9pm game time and run around n check the entire zone, don't touch any of the NPCs in SRO "trying to get AC to spawn". SRO AC spawns more when you leave everything alone in South Ro) AC = 1344hp 64dmg.

The 9pm clops is a good call, especially if you have something else to do between spawns.

The cyclops PH is just as hard as AC, IMO. If you can kill the cyclops, you can kill AC.

If you really want the AC, neither option is really too hard for the ring if you are 45. Below that is possible but tough in the OOT one, esp if that is your first 45. As mentioned, the regular cyclops that spawns there is the same difficulty as the AC. This is of course easier for some classes than others, but you are typically just dealing with the one mob. The spawn point also has some really low lvl, easy PHs. This is a camp with possibly super long droughts.

By 30's it's possible to kill the one in SRO. This varies by class for the level, but even more for the race to tag the AC when he pops. He has a zone-wide FTE message, so if you tag him, you can then take your time killing him. A pet with SoW is really nice for tagging, but mainly keep your SoW up with your fastest tag (arrow/quick-cast stun/pet/etc). It's really a lot about luck and persistence, which is annoying at one shot to spawn/race per in-game day.

Now! All that said.....
I think that the reason that the J-boots MQ has settled on 5k is that the trouble of doing the AC in either SRO or OOT is generally worth about 5k of peoples' effort/luck elsewhere.

Trick is to just check when they don't play. There are a few 9pm/ day where these farmers sleep.

Sometimes the South Ro AC spawns southwest corner of the desert area near the grass.

SRO AC respawns every 72 minutes a.k.a. 1 hour and 12 mins real life time, but every 9PM game time.

1 hour of game time = 3 real life minutes IRL
