26,000 hours long? hmm, must be one of those long reviews of 20 year old games again.

Ok let's start at the beginning, the year was 1995..

Well, technically proression servers are all speedruns for the freaks in the top guild.

Never get over when I saw the loot on the first time locked live progression server, nakeds killing naggy day 3 I was so mad.

It would actually be kinda cool to see a speedrun of EQ that's kind of edited down to the last five minutes or so before each level is gained, and any other interesting events or encounters on the way to 60. It would clock in at a healthy length of only a few hours!

Gotta stand up every few hours or blood clots can kill ya. I remember being really sad for this guy when I heard about it. He was doing a fundraising stream for make a wish and he had kids of his own

I used to talk about doing 5&5 all the time lol full inventory, rings and earings, level 5 in less than 5 hours.

I know that sounds easy but it's pretty intense.

Killing every wolf or bear and leather working to get a full set of gear and buy a scimitar first/shield second.

You're pretty beefy for a day 1 this route.

If you're in qeynos you can end up with like +30 HP gear by the time you're done with the 5 & 5.

what qualifies as completing the speed run? Max level? Every raid done? Only the current end game raid finished? Full BIS? Maxed level, AAs and full BIS with all raids completed?

Yeah he did 1-50 in the absolute most boring way possible, so even though its an actual normal speedrun length its even more boring than a 20 hr stream would be

Id say just the fastest level 50 in classic server launch and fastest level 60 in kunark with classic timelock and for velious idk.

Speedrun is the worst way to play any game. Why not speedrun cleaning your bathroom or something instead, at least that improves your quality of life
