Solve this.
39916 : EQ :: 99724 : __________
Messianic

It might have to do with EQ's release date. I don't care to think that much beyond that.

The answer is UO, or Ultima Online.
EQ's official release was March 16, 1999. Ultima Online came out September 24, 1997. I put the month first, year, then day.
Here's another one:
64: chess :: 9 : ___________

The analogy does not require any information inaccessible to you.
Here's another one:
Counting : Addition :: Addition : _______________
azeth
06-20-2011, 11:19 AM
i : bkn :: y : _________
how about
I: BKN :: Y: XYZ.
I = 9, B+K+N = 27, 27/9 = 3
Y = 25, X + Y + Z = 75, 75/25 = 3?

Only hint I can give is that it's not alphanumeric.

i contest this analogy sucks and i demand a recount/blood.

I admit it's a difficult one requiring a high verbal IQ.
In the future I'll include difficulty from 1-5. That one's a 5.
Try the other one, it's much easier (Lvl 1).
Also (Lvl 2):
addition : mutiplication :: multiplication : _______________

exponential?
WizardEQ

I would take that or exponentiation because every element of the analogy is a common noun.
Level 4:
A compound word is a word that consists of two separate words which put together produce the compound word. Examples are paper/clip and lady/bug. What compound word means exactly the same as each of the words that make it up?
[Hint: 4 letters, then 3 letters]

________ __________
This doesn't fit in with your hint, but it's pretty close:
Fore/front
**Edit**
I just went through a list of over 2000 compound words and I can't seem to figure out what word you are talking about. What the hell is it? I'm probably going to feel daft when you say it.
WizardEQ
06-22-2011, 07:27 AM
I'd say fore/front is pretty damn close also. The only downside is that "fore" is typically used to refer to the front of a boat or ship. It doesn't have a "universal" meaning. The word I'm thinking of does, anywhere in the world.
Another hint: transportation, especially in a city.

Well yeah that works too, but if you are gong to argue that "fore" suggests boat, cab could also suggest the cab of a truck. Maybe it's a regional thing, but in Los Angeles I don't hear a lot of people going around calling a cab(taxi), but there are plenty of trucks with extended cabs or crew cabs or king cabs..
But I get your point.
