The item you're talking about is the Ball of Everliving Golem (http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=2272) which drops from PoF golem bosses and indeed does not drop yet.

The item I am after is the Ball of Golem Clay (http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=49561) which drops from the Clay Golem (http://eqbeastiary.allakhazam.com/search.shtml?id=3654) in Cazic Thule.
