Let's say I stumbled upon the Crypt and it was empty of players. By that I mean no one is about to return from Emp. So let's say I go park it in the Hiero room and just kill him, because who wants that other crap now? Now let's say I clear a rotation or two and am just hanging around. It has been stated before that the Crypt is a single camp. Would I be forced to vacate the Hiero room on the premise that I am not clearing my camp if a group rolled up? It seems to me that this would be rather absurd but within the rules.

You can hold one spawn down, it's yours. You don't need to be clearing everything. That's redonkeylous.

I think this falls under maintaining presence, or being able to hold down the camp.
If crypt is considered all 4 rooms, and it is, I'm sure you will have groups argue that if you can't clear it all you can't claim it. If you came up to say disco and you saw 1 person killing 1 mob every respawn that's really not enough to claim the entire camp and when a group wanted to move in I'm sure they wouldn't have much problem just steamrolling by and claiming it.
But imo if you found crypt uncamped and moved into heiro room you would have rights over a group that moved in after you, leaving them the 3 other named. Good luck with the battle! I'm sure it won't go over smoothly =p

I'm pretty sure its completely doable, and am kind of looking forward to trying it.

Whenever I hold heiro room and a group comes in, I give it to them immediately. I think it is disgusting form to farm one camp and hold off 6 players.
Sadly the last time we did this, a group came in and we gave them the camp (and a spawned heiro with sword) no quesitons asked and no drama, just openly offered it and told em we'll leave, some homo got all QQ about it.
Jesus what else can you do for people. Go out of our way to be good people.

If you're at the camp and it was empty when you showed up and you want to camp ONE mob. Then you should have the right to keep camping that single mob.
If I were doing what Jeremy is describing I'd hold the single Heiro room and leave the rest of the camp for the xp group. It's a single mob, it's not like you're really hurting their xp/hr all that much and you were there first.
Edit: The idea of it being 1 camp is to prevent someone from rolling in and taking the room when there is already a group of people there clearing. Some people will probably bitch, and a GM may get called. Those people are wankers and they'll happen, but I feel like the majority of players would agree to let you keep the single spawn and be content with the other mobs in the area.

This happened on the weekend,
I was asked if i wanted to join a crypt/emp group, they then mentioned another group had the hiero spawn. That seemed odd to me so i went to check it out. I sneaked down and low and behold a group of 5 players sitting in Hiero and another group of 6 clearing everything else. I asked WTF had happend and my contact advised me that the hiero group was there first. I joined another group, then quit that group becouse people are stupid.
The end.

So it seems to me that the 4 rooms in crypt (plus the roamer named possibly) aren't necessarily one camp, but that it is a place where you don't necessarily have to be in the exact room to hold it. What do you all think?

I think if one group is able to roll in and hold the camp and keep all mobs down, it's their camp and they get to keep it all.
However, if you were already there taking one of the named rooms and a group rolls in they have no right to kick you out of your spot.
It's really not a matter of trying to rules lawyer your way around it and more a way of common courtesy. If somebody is camping a named and is able to hold the named itself and others roll in, they should respect that player and leave him to his named and take everything else around them if they wish to remain at the camp.

I think the same thing Rhambuk/baalzy expressed. If your group is there first you are free to claim all or as much as you want, irrespective of the precise spot your casters are medding.
If you have insufficient force for a full clear then the new group should be granted your leftovers. Your call what you grant them but to be fair if that is more than one spawn they should be adjacent to avoid pulling issues. i.e. not the 2 spawns from diagonally opposite rooms.

See that sounds a lot more reasonable to me. I think running in and trying to swipe one room that has no one in it at that particular moment but a group nearby is bullshit. However, I don't think you should necessarily have to kill all five nameds here to be able to lay claim - if I want to park my ass in the Hiero room uncontested and sit here for two weeks, that is my prerogative!
