Unfortunately that didn't answer the question at all. And the first link was just rude. Read the question again.

OP the only reference I've seen (haven't dug a lot) is to 2002.

I think the suggestion is that it wasn't always in the game. Thus the use of the word "era" rather than "level".

I do however like that let me google that for you link, good stuff!(if it were appropriate in this thread.)

Brilliant, and totally appropriate. I always wonder why people don't try Google before they broadcast.. ..I mean really? It's 2010.

I seem to recall Circle of Surefall glade coming out with the release of Jaggedpine Forest, which Allakhazam says was on July 24, 2002. That would place it in mid-Luclin and should never exist on P99.

Wow that late? That part of the world is inaccessible as a druid. Closest to Halas is North Karana! I can't believe it took them that long to add Circle of Surefall glade

Finding EQ information on google = easy.

Finding EQ information that is period-specific on google = not so easy.

Not to say that they shouldn't have looked, just that sometimes you need to know where to look. Google isn't always the right answer.

New Teleport SpellsNov 9th, 2001 at 3:02 PM by Allakhazam (http://everquest.allakhazam.com/users/Allakhazam)

Not mentioned in the patch notes are several new teleport spells that are now available. Druids can now self-teleport to Wakening Lands, Cobalt Scar and Great Divide and can both self and group teleport to Surefall Glades (about time too). Wizards get self teleports to Wakening Lands and Great Divide and translocations to all the Velious locations. Get the Wizard Spells at Solusek Ro and the Druid Spells in Greater Faydark.

I stand corrected! November 9, 2001 would be about a month before Luclin, yes?

I remember them patching in the ports to the various places in Velious, but I didn't remember Surefall being associated with that.

But I didn't play a Druid, so why would I?

This is so sad...
Poor Qeynosians. Verant just never cared.

Right now it takes approximately 30 seconds from getting ported to Toxx to entering qeynos sewers, so it isn't that bad for us Qeynosians.

From druid rings walk east to hut, go inside hut and click on firepot.

DAMN! Was that in classic?

Reminds me of something in LFay that ports you to Neriak 3rd Gate - is that here (and was THAT in classic too)?

Aren't there Firepots in Kedge that will send you to a bunch of different places, or is that just a rumor I once heard?

God, 11 years is a long time.

Now that you have mentioned it, I do recall hearing about this but by the time I did PoP was out so I never bothered to try it.

I'm guessing this was placed in the game for evil Erudites since they can't exactly make it through Erudin and Qeynos at level 1, right?

Does anyone have the lore for this? Is there an NPC that you can talk to who will spill the beans on the location? This is one of the many things I love about EQ.

You're thinking of Timourous Deep.

Ahhh... that's right. People used to bind down there. Looking forward to that.

Wait a second, so the firepots actually work? On live version, I remember them being "Locked" - I just figured it was the old GM's way of traveling.

The one in Toxx evidently does.

The area in TD is in Kunark, but yes, on Live they worked. They worked well enough to patch the zone to be non-bindable on their account.

Yeah, currently the one from Toxx <-> Qeynos Sewers goes both ways. There is also one in Neriak Third Gate that ports to Lfay, but it is a one way trip.

I must find this.

The [boat ride] to Butcherblock as a level 6 troll shaman was quite treacherous. Stupid sister island sister standing on the docks.

What other firepots are there? Is there a link to info on these? Everything I have looked up says they were locked on live.

only certain firepots are available as they were in classic. find them, and share the knowledge!

The firepots I know of that are working are; 1: Toxx Forest(Building 6 on eqatlas map), ports you to Qeynos Sewers. 2: Qeynos Sewers, (9 on eqatlas)ports you to the other pot in Toxx. Finally, 3: Neriak Third Gate. It's at the easternmost part, at the end of a dead end bridge. It ports you to Lfay Tier'Dal camp (14 on eqatlas). Careful of this if you aren't friendly with Indigo Brotherhood, as the darkies the in the camp will splatter you.

Using the wayback machine for Eqdruids...the closest I could narrow it down was between Aug 2001 and Feb 2002. It doesn't show for July 2001, and the next available archive is Feb...

Since the window between Aug and Luclin release date is 4 months, I'd hazard a guess that it was a Luclin spell. I certainly don't remember it before JPF.

I tried the Toxx firepot and nothing.

I can't seem to piece together the timeline from using search.
