<Seal Team>, on P99 GREEN is recruiting! We have many players from across the world and are looking to expand our ranks with both casual and passionate players alike! Seal Team’s focus is on end game Velious raiding and creating a habitable community for all players looking to get the most out of their nostalgic Everquest experience. Seal Team is the only guild on GREEN to solo Avatar of War, Tunare, and 37 Vulaks in a row!

While raiding and competing is our goal, we also believe this server is much more than that. Our community has been a home and haven for people in these recent difficult years. You will be invited into a circle of friends who enjoy every aspect of Everquest together, as well as games outside of Everquest. Seal Team understands that everyone has real life responsibilities and will never expect more of your time than you are willing to offer. When you are able to make the time, you are only asked to be prepared and put in effort to contribute to our success.

If you do decide to raid, we have a wealth of knowledge and approachable mentors at your fingertips to learn anything you’d like about end game Velious! You can be as invested or distant as your schedule and playtime permits and Seal Team will help you achieve your goals to that end. All raid consumables and tools will be recharged free of charge from our guild coffers to keep you ready for any situation! We ask that anyone playing in a raid capacity be present in Discord if only to listen for dynamic raid adjustments. Recharged material include:
• WC cap
• Wand(Frost Bolts, Thin Boned)
• Wort Pots
• Invis Rings
• Etc.

Seal Team has several “no-nonsense” policies surrounding bullying, racism, sexism, politics, toxicity, and off color jokes. Many of us use this game as an escape and we are tough on these subjects.

Becoming a Raider in Seal Team is easy! There are a handful of easy-to-acquire items that our raiders carry to be as effective as possible! This in conjunction with making only 15% of raids will earn you the right to Raider status, which supplies you with a very large purchasing bonus toward your most coveted items, in addition to a FREE key to Sleeper’s Tomb and Primal Weapons!

There has never been a better time to join Seal Team than right now! Our loot systems have seen a major overhaul and large inflation of SCP(DKP). This means you can get in at the ground floor and see loot very quickly if you work hard, instead of compete with mountains of DKP from previous expansions. Seal Team has transitioned to a DKP bidding guild, without restriction. We do not have mains and you are able to gear any character you like!

Well that's what happens when you have "well adjusted" people like phatez whose sole purpose is to deny others loot/kills and gatekeep content from other guilds calling some of the shots.

FoW would be better off on their own doing their own thing getting their own loot all to themselves and letting ST slowly die off. I think a 3 way competition between SS Kingdom and FoW would be cool to see. Honestly FoW has even been fielding the majority of their joint-force numbers lately.

The Zerg meta is just so tired. I get the necessity for stuff like AoW, Vulak, etc but 120 man zergs at the easier stuff that can be done with <50 people is just boring.

Good luck killing anything in North ToV with sub 50 people in a contested environment. Rooted dragons killed small guilds and the raid scene.

FoW was getting kills in NToV with around 50 ish all the time on quakes until ST sucked them in to save their asses. The fact that ST followed kingdom around everywhere just trying to leapfrog all their targets did help a lot in allowing FoW to get those uncontested kills though. But I firmly believe FoW would have performed quite well even contested with those numbers. They have some really good low number kills and on several occasions even impressed Kingdom and ST with them not thinking FoW could have killed Mob A or Mob B with only 6 clerics or whatever.

Exactly my point they got those uncontested. In the era of kitting 2-6 guards to kill a dragon you better have the best 50 raiders playing all the correct classes if you even want a chance.

I've been in for half a year now and it has been 500pp or equivalent consumable type items, but you get that back 10 fold with raid mats/recharges .etc.... has never been an issue or a thought of mine the whole time.

I'm pretty casual these days, but am a member of ST. Through this guild, I've gotten to kill all the raid content in the game and gotten some good loot along the way.

For the most part, the guild is made up of super knowledgeable and mature people, whom I enjoy playing with, though there are admittedly a couple of trolls and memelords in our midst. I also find the infrastructure and leadership to be particularly good, which may surprise you given what you've read here!

All in all, if you wanna kill Vulaks or play with knowledgeable folk, ST is a good place to be.

Not sure. Maybe a couple cycles? In my experience ST (almost?) always fields enough on it's own for Vulak, but it's definitely good to call out that we are teaming up a lot with our FoW friends lately, and it's been really fun. I will say, of all the targets, people have a habit of showing up for Vulak.

To my knowledge ST has not killed any of those major targets solo anytime recently. It acted holier than thou for a long periods of time and is now essentially riding coattails on major targets. Hence the recruiting drive.

Hah, I can definitely see the 'holier than thou' thing, esp. if your main point of reference is the UN and what not. As an insider, that's not really the vibe we go for. I'll pass along the feedback.

I may not convince you, but for major targets, I haven't seen any 'riding coattails' numbers wise. As I said, people be showing up for Vulak. Nonetheless, it's true that we are partnering up for a lot of stuff including big targets. As a normal member, I don't know all the ins and outs, but it's been fun and rewarding from my perspective.

The guild has historically been pretty bad at recruiting, but we're trying to now. On the other hand, the on-boarding is pretty good, and there's a lot of people actively working on improving it.

Seal Team no longer commands 90-100 players for their NTOV crawls. I suspect because many of their long term members retired/breaking (experienced everything) or left (ala defecting to Safe Space).
In an effort to maintain their command on Vulak (through necessity of killing Vyemm), Seal Team is pairing with Force of Will during every earthquake and Vyemm/Vulak natural spawn for the last several months - and offering third pick on Vulak loot to FoW to gain numbers sufficient to kill Vyemm and Vulak.

FoW has been revitalized of recent due to this new access to end game content with many more members than it would typically yield (as they have a no-socking mentality), and Kingdom continues to progress (recently getting first time kills in Sleepers Tomb) while developing its own alliances with Castle (tunare/ring wars) and Safe Space (ring war/ntov).

All in all, any guild on this server will have it's ebbs and flows. Seal Team's numbers are less than what they desire, and to remedy this are passing late pick, yet excellent quality loot, to other guilds to continue to gear themselves and monopolize Vulak. Whether this will eventually shoot them in the foot (speculation is that FoW is demanding more) or works to their advantage by developing a true merger between FoW and ST - is all yet to be seen.

All in all it's an exciting time to be on P99 Green - I just hope that all guilds who desire to compete and enjoy the content will be able to field numbers and reduce burn out for many months to come - as without our competition, EQ is lackluster - and for that, I applaud any recruitment posts for end game guilds.

Pretty much all of this. P99 raiding is competitive and people burn out. All guilds have to recruit to keep their numbers strong, even ST. Nothing wrong with that.

Thanks! I am pretty excited to see how Green evolves once the timeline ends in a couple of months. We're already seeing parity evolve across all of the guilds in terms of numbers and experience with the encounters. The end game is more inclusive than it ever was with the alliance era of Green.

Nowadays I barely even pay attention to the loot that dropped. Instead, I can help others get those items they never could access before and just have fun killing dragons and joking around.
