Is the Velium Crystal Staff a viable twink weapon for casters do you think or is it really more for a Monk? Opinions and experiences welcome please! Thank you for your time!

It's kinda meh for monks. Would rather use 12/20 hammer or adamite club + stave of shielding /nod.
I never used on caster but could be fun at lowbe levels for sure

It's great for (powerleveling twink) monks; I have two on mine. It procs at level 1, so from 1 to ... some higher level, it's arguably the best weapon you can have as a monk.
But (obviously) at some point your monk will reach a level where there are much better twink weapons you can use instead.

Lot of resist though if you fight red cons. I had them on lvl 1 lizard Twink and found using the jade mace / 12/20 hammer was faster vs red con then seeing resist or only landing for 12 dmg etc. Still neat weapons though!

Well eventually once you get to a certain lvl you're going to want to use 2hb more often to reduce the amount of ripostes you get from mobs. Until you get epic of course.

1-20 it's the best, yes. when dmg cap goes up, it's beat out by adam club/stave of shielding or peacebringer/tstaff.
imo.

How does the dps on that compare out vs wus quivering staff? Is it really worth the 1000pp when wus is so cheap?

Yeah. Peacebringer has better DPS than any 1hand combo until you’re about 55+, even if you have epic.

I had great fun with velium staff on my cleric from 1 to 35, fungi + thurg legs, decent haste and dex gear. I dont think its worth putting on INT casters tho since they cant really heal their melee

Yeah but the weapon I was asking about in comparison is a 2hb that doesn’t seem much worse than peacebringer

Dual wield check doesn’t need to succeed for off hand to proc.
There is room for argument the velium crystal staff is one of the best offhand weapons until dual wield skill reaches a respectable level.
Edit: in my previous post I meant to type ‘pb’ (peace bringer) rather than ‘pk’ and ‘ts’ (tranquil staff) not ta. Forgive me, I’ve been poorly recently.

thread is going off topic a little. is it viable for casters. It all depends on your ability to take the dmg and regen it. Casters are kinda forced to melee till they get meditation so id say VCS till you get meditate.
Is it really more for a monk? mmeh its a lot of hype. Its probably best till soft cap on 2hder is lifted, 30ish? but as alli said, resists are real and that dmg delay is sorta crap compared to some options.
TL;DR VCS is a lot of hype. people who say its the best of the best are kinda full of crap
